<p>If you asking &#8216;can you put faster RAM on a &#8216;slower&#8217; motherboard?&#8217;, then the answer is yes.</p>
<p>All that will happen is that the RAM will run at the speed of the motherboard it&#8217;s placed on.</p>
<p>If it makes you feel safer, don&#8217;t go ahead until others confirm it.</p>

<p>The reason for the two partitions (in my case), is that one is for online gaming, and the other for the normal stuff.</p>
<p>I also back up on the other partition, in case the other fails (as in this case?).</p>

Double click on the tick, and hopefully you will see now see your cd listed as well.</p>

<p>Then find your cd/dvd drives in the list. Then double click on them, and what does it say?</p>
<p>It should tell you whether there is a problem or not, if there is, (or not, as the case may be), we can all take it from there.</p>

<p>Strangley, if I boot it from the hd, it still doesn&#8217;t recognise it.</p>
<p>This has to be because I installed using a different pc.</p>

it would probably be treated as one continous track, as opposed to 11 or 12 (or whatever).</p>

<p>A 120gb is only about £50, and the box another £20.</p>
<p>Just plug into a usb port, and start copying. (ok, a bit more to it, but the wizzard takes you through)</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t need to put windows on it.</p>
