Are they listed in the device manager? and if so, what is their ‘status’?

pml bert…spot on as always
18 May, 2005 at 11:19 am #111348Right click on ‘my computer’
>properties > hardware> device manager. Then find your cd/dvd drives in the list. Then double click on them, and what does it say?
It should tell you whether there is a problem or not, if there is, (or not, as the case may be), we can all take it from there.
18 May, 2005 at 11:38 am #111349all it lists it QSI DVDR SW-041 :?
18 May, 2005 at 4:24 pm #111350Kentlass,
Next to where it says QSI DVDR SW-041 , there is probably a small box with a tick in it.
Double click on the tick, and hopefully you will see now see your cd listed as well. Now, double click on QSI DVDR SW-041 and your cd seperately, and what does it say in the main box?
don’t worry about having a poke around in here, as long as you don’t click on ‘ok’ or ‘apply’ to anything.
18 May, 2005 at 11:52 pm #111351i think this might take some while :)
19 May, 2005 at 12:15 am #111352think ur right souls
geoff… there isnt a likle tick next to the QSI thingy :(
19 May, 2005 at 5:46 pm #111353Start>my computer>right click on your CD drive and select properties. Under the hardware tab, highlight your CD drive by clicking on it once and tell me what it says next to device status.
