As certain folks have said, lot’s of us were quite happy with the old rooms, get rid of the lobby mate 8)
We had all this when Martin first changed over from ASCII to parachat. People moaned about being *thrown into the lobby* rather than the old forum list, and then being able to choose which room they wanted to go in.
The only real difference now is, that you can actually talk in the lobby. If you don’t want too then click on 40’s and go in there. What’s so difficult about that? :?
People moan and moan about the lobby and all the idiots in it and the lurkers, but do they use the other rooms provded? No. They can’t stand to actually leave the lobby and use one of the other rooms in case they miss something going on in the lobby, because it all makes for juicy gossip.
If you are sick of the lobby and want to get 40’s going again, the do it. Just click on 40’s and in you go. Or you could use the VIP room Martin provided. That way you could be certain no idiots would come in and only registered users can gain access to it. The choice is yours.

When I first joined it was all rooms no lobby. I tried chatting in the rooms, but I was totally ignored and found it intimidating. I stuck with pms and weeding out the pervs, and I had some nice chats but they were few and far between. I was just about to give up on chatting when the new setup came in and the lobby was introduced, and I loved it! Despite the eejits (who can be quite funny at times), I love being in the lobby, watching people come and go, the busyness, there’s a kind of buzz in there that’s missing in the rooms. If there’s a real eejit in I always have my iggy button (looks at her iggy button and caresses it lovingly) and if things get too bad I can always leave and come back later.
If you prefer chatting in the rooms they’re still there, there’s nothing stopping you – as Bat says, the choice is yours but please leave the lobby as a place to chat for those of us that like it. We have the right to a choice too.
i dont mind the setup of the lobby , rooms etc. I just with that the pms where the same as before, when u could lock but still choose to speak to someone. I have tried the system of checking before accepting but dont like it. they pop in in the middle of the screen and sometimes vanish before u can see who there were from.
I dont post very often, but must admit like jen jen i love the lobby, and all the hustle and bustle that goes with it, yes ok there are idiots there always will be but thats what we have an iggy button for, and the choice is there if we want to go in the other rooms so its a thumbs up from me.
If the lobby is pishing me orf I go into m s n and start a convo with the m8’s I have from jc – it is fun, and no nasties can join in!! Simples! :D

didn’t think much to the bell boy and the conceirge was rubbish.. couldn’t fix me up with anything I wanted..
I have been in F3 lobby a couple of times and I have to be honest it seemed nicer than when I used to chat in F2 !
I think the mix of ppl in lobby make it interesting. I have in the past been in rooms with the same ppl and after a while the conversation runs dry.
