Hmmm… something to do with Wogan?

It was in fact a cat

there are reports vets are saying it could be a road traffic accident however I’ve never seen the cat other than at the bus stop, haven’t once seen it venture right up to the kerb itself even. There are more flowers there today and even a teddy bear.

I didn’t have the courage to look up the link, in case there were any scenes of the cat in a pool of blood.
    Very sad indeed, if true.

A pitbull (last week in Italy), was found with a piece of rope tied around its neck and another around it’s mouth, the rope was tied so tight it cut through it’s skin and tissue, blood could no longer circulate…..resulting in the head to bloat.
The dog is currently still in hospital undergoing treatment and seems it will survive, but not all are so fortunate, many animals are so savagely burnt and beaten that they die from their wounds.
Another small dog was placed into a pot of boiling water then thrown out of a 4th floor window for having played and subsequently broken it’s owner’s mobile.
I could go on and on ad infinitum …

Present laws against animal abuse don’t have strong enough punishments in my opinion.
Plus, people should get an education (and teach their kids too), on how to keep and treat animals ( of any sort, be it cat, dog, hamster, etc), before getting one, as many have no idea whatsoever on how to do so.
Many just get a pet as a play thing for the kids.
Animals are NOT toys, they’re living beings, hence should be treated as such.

    well said, blosso.
Animal cruelty has always been widespread.

I don’t have any animals as pets, don’t particularly want any,

I also note that many animal rights people tend not to have any particular concern about people being treated cruelly.

but if you treat animals cruelly, then you tend to have the same attitude to people.

That was a popular cat. Did he ride the buses regularly or something?!

EDIT: Made myself read the article. Very sad indeed.

If I,posted what I’d like to do to the monsters who did that to that cat, Martin would delete it and probably ban me. Suffice to say it isnt pleasant.
