I’ve gotta nominate Pete for making us all laugh. (though not intentionally)

I think our great leader Fasty just mentioned that the Jade leaving thread reached 5 pages, spanning a week, before Jade decided that she wasnt leaving after all.

Well, that seems to be old DOA posting em. Posting JC stories dosent really interest me.

It was funny doing the TC threads though, and watching Esme, you and the rest of the oversensitive TC muppets getting your knickers in a twist over them. Even funnier that you put a padlock over the door.

How about if someone prays before they die, but in their heart they still dont believe? Do you think this will be enough to convince or fool the sky daddy, or have to they got to believe in their hearts as well, and how can someone believe something in their hearts when it’s totally illogical to them, and has no real evidence to back it up in the 1st place.
Didnt the sky daddy create them in the 1st place anyway knowing that the person wasnt going to believe in him, or did the sky daddy not forsee that? The atheist didnt even have a choice in whether they were born or not anyway. Why didnt the sky daddy just create a world of believers at the beginning if everyone had to be believers to get into his kingdom?

It’s a ludricrous concept isnt it “believe or go to hell”. This means that if a murderer repents, and starts believing then he’ll get his ticket to heaven, whilst the kind hearted, generous, law abiding athiest gets hot pokers stuck into him in hell.

To my mind the idea of hell is as ludicrous as the idea of heaven.

Some people need the belief whether it’s hocus pocus or not. They need to know that their dead relatives are safe, and are waiting for them, and that their lives have some sort of purpose, and meaning, and that they arent an evolutionary accident.
Im not against the idea of a creator. The creator being someone who is simply a more advanced being than us. Give human being’s another few millenia of evolution, and we ourselves will probably be able to create universes, and be “gods”, but I doubt very much the creator is any of the earth sky daddy’s. The cosmological constant is also an interesting concept, though not without major flaws.
