Losing only a few qualifying games dosent tell the whole story. England r usually top seeds in their group so the the teams in the group with them are usually inferior teams You’d expect England to have a good record in qualiflying games with them being seeded so highly.
World class players mean fugg all mate if theres no passion or spirit. England dont seem to have either of those just now. When people have said England will win the World Cup next summer ive laughed. Not because theyre short on quality-Terry, Ferdinand, Gerard, Lampard, Beckham, Owen, Rooney any team would b glad to have em in their side, but because there dosent seem to b any passion and spirit in the team.
If you looked at Sven last night when England were one down he just looked baffled as to how to turn it around, and the players looked baffled as well. In the last three games England have been trounced by the Danes, scraped past Wales and lost to a totally limited N Ireland team. England just dont have that “certain something” that World Champs have, and theres no chance in he.ll they’ll win the World Cup next summer. I aint playing one upmanship. Its the truth.
I would say theres more than a slim chance now. :D

We’ve went from mission impossible to mission possible now. I honestly think Scotland will win their last two games, and the Norwegians look pretty one dimensional. Norway have got a tough game away to Belarus and they could easily draw or lose that, and that would put in pole posistion for 2nd place.

World Cup
Ive gotta b fair to Smith though. He’s done a fantastic job so far without any outstanding players. Just shows what can b done with a bit of organisation, tactical awareness, and having the players right up.
Also there is a few half decent players in the squad. Italy were on the ropes in the 1st half on Saturday.
