So in Bat speak do you want to get rid of AVG and go back to Norton then? Im confusicimated?! Ive got AVG now and prefer it a thousand times more than Norton. I wouldnt go back there again.
No not really Sharon I was just having a ponder. If at some stage I did decide to get rid of the AVG and reinstall Norton, I wondered how to get rid of the bits left over in my registry. Because of them, I cant install Norton antivirus 2005. I,ve always had Norton and got on well with it. But then I had to do a windows reinstall..(ask PB about that, he remembers it well.)   Then I tried to install my new Norton and couldnt, hence the AVG. I sit here and ponder about things Sharon lol. That was in my bestest Bat language.

I used to have Norton anti virus, now I,ve got that AVG thingy. I cant reinstall Norton because I,ve still got bits of it in my registry. So, how do I get rid of it so I can reinstall Norton?

Anybody want a new hobby???? (Being technical advisor and providing telephone support to the technologically illiterate).

8 January, 2007 at 3:58 pm #255661I hadnt heard about this story atall. Like PB, I totally support the mother for the choice she made for her daughter. She obviously did it out of nothing more than love for her. What an incredibly brave woman she sounds. I know someone who has a mentally handicapped daughter and I often wonder how she copes with puberty. It would be a million times harder for this mothers daughter. Like Becky said, is there a link to the story anywhere? It would be very interesting to read.
6 January, 2007 at 9:01 am #255291They get bloody worse. I finally had a long winded reply rabbiting on about paswords and e-mail addys, and log in names. If I want to deactivate a log in name I have to do this and that etc. I didnt ask about log in names or passwords FFS. My query was about this on line billing they say I have signed up for when I bloody havnt. So now, with my reply I,ve just sent to them, thats 7 e-mails and my query STILL hasnt been answered. FFS. Dorks.

This technology stuff is quite clearly beyond you. Just pour lighter fluid over it and set it on fire.
Now just see here you. I,ts NOT my bloody fault this time I tell ya.I know which buttons to press, it,s the ermmmmmm..it,s that one isnt it? oops. wrong one. It,s ALL stoooopid BT,,s fault. They sent me a very nice letter, thanking me for signing up to on line billing. I havnt signed up to on line billing ffs. Whats more, stooooooopid BT, sent me an e-mail to a mail addy I havnt used for at least 3 years since I switched my internet to BT. Dorks.  And now, when all I want to do is tell them that, can I get an answer from a human? NO. I dunno, all I do is ask for a bit of help and what do I get? Bloody disgraceful it is.
