exactly cas..i was acused of bein a mother who ran to defend her ickle sweetheart at every turn……i ave bin takin my kids an now my grandson to school over a period of 29 yrs….i lost my rag on just 2 occasions..which were justified. teachers today want it all………try giving sumething bk fgs.
Iv’e only kinda skipped through this one Pats and got the general idea  I just been cryin laughing tho at your post 1.03pm today, about levelling the teacher lol
1. This ones for you Drivel…………….On one occasion on having to go to the school, my son was being bullied and kicked in his back and the teachers were doing nothing about it, which is as bad as what this woman did…………..considering my son had, and still does to some degree, Kidney trouble (which the school knew about) I found someone else kicking him in the back and them doing nothing, totally unacceptable.
I needn’t have bothered come to think of it, a couple of weeks later the worm turned, so to speak, and the perpetrator, got the hiding he deserved……………Oh!!! which! btw, the school wanted him to do detention for!!! I told them to go to hell.
2. The second occasion was when, in the winter, snowing too, that not having played PE, but having to stand outside and watch the others, was then told to take a shower, he explained he didnt have a towel, teach,,,,,,,,,,,,,,having a huge pile of them in the next room, said, oh well, you wont forget next time!!
Whichever end you turn it up Drivel, its abuse of power

And at this point I give up. Feel free to argue amongst yourselves.
And I don’t blame you Bat. Drivel you are being deliberatly argumentative, like Bat said, just the one sentence really, of being in a position of power not necessarily meaning you have to be a bully.I’m not a teacher, I work in the licensed trade, same principle really, i’m in a position of power, I don’t have to abuse it, I don’t feel the need, those that do I think, says more about them.
I had a few run in’s with teachers when my son, now 18, was at school. I wasn’t the kind of mother who was in n out of the school every five minutes, and I spose to give you some credit, there are some that do, and it makes it bad for everyone else who has a genuine gripe with the way SOME!! not all, before I get pilloried  teachers behave.
I agree with Bat, probably much to your dislike. The teacher abused a position of power and she has no justification for it, much as you might try to find some for her.

Geoff – Let’s just be thankful that you live where you do and I live where I do. Instead of criticizing our politics, criticize your own country for standing beside us in this fight. No country is safe with these radicals running around. Not my country and not your own country. So do you feel we should just coward away from them? We went into Iraq after 9/11 because it posed a threat. Iraq was and is breeding Islamic Fascism. It needs to stop. It’s dangerous to the world.
Cas – A memorial is in the works of being set up. But just because we don’t have statues in place doesn’t mean there isn’t a memorial. I’m certain that not one American can look at the New York skyline without getting emotional over what happened. The ghost of the World Trade Centers will always be there. Tons of e-mails and television broadcasts have been dedicated to the tragic loss. This is one that I was sent on 9/11 this year
http://gunstuff.com/america-attacked.html
No matter what is thought of Americans and their policies and politics – It’s a human tragedy. Al Queda went after the innocent not our military. They are crazy and need to be stopped. I’m glad we’re not cowarding away.
Fair enough AM. Having watched a few programmes about 9/11 over the last couple of weeks, maybe my wording was wrong in referring to a ”nation”. But certainly Mr Bush should feel very ashamed of himself.
I watched him on the 11th laying his wreath on that pond with his wife by his side, isn’t he lucky to have that priveledge……………if he could wipe the smirk from his face it might help!!!
Another programme was on here last night. It was about sifting the remains from that site. I’m pretty sure the guy was a Forensic Pathologist, he referred to it being a logistical nightmare. A lot of the bodies were recduced to mere dust, he explained that what he and others had to work with were little more than fragments of bone and skin. However AM, I still think that all stops should have been pulled out and it shouldn’t have taken this long. The relatives of those who died deserve better than this, you have to agree with that surely.
I agree with you too, that there can’t be a person with any amount of feeling that doesn’t look at the NY skyline and remember what happened, can still see it happening.

5 years on, and I’m sure a lot of the victims of 9/11 would shudder at what’s been done in their name.
A distasterous illegal war against a county not involved in 9/11 in any way.
The dissaperance and random torturing of Terrorist suspects, which could and should be considered War Crimes. Bush denying the Red Cross access to these prisoners. Total disregard for the Geneva Conventions.
Bush passing laws in Congress to make him and his cronies unaccountable for these outrages.
You really gotta wonder what’s happening. Isnt there supposed to be laws in Democracies to stop this stuff from happening? The Laws seem to be getting rewritten to favour Nazi tactics.Really makes ya wonder on this day who the good guys and the bad guys really are.
Putting aside for one moment the onset of wars, whether illegal or otherwise……..I personally think what IS!! shameful, and i’m sorry if this offends you AM, but it’s the truth, is the way that the remains of the pple who died on that day, are left to rot, on a landfill site………… I think it’s absolutely disgraceful behaviour for a nation, who supposedly care so much about what happened.
Complete human remains will never be found, but at least some kind of burial ground, with name plaques commemorating those who died is the very least that George Dubya and his buddies could do,,,,,,,,,,,,not to mention the very least that the families left behind, should expect!!!
12 September, 2006 at 2:34 pm #240394Well the leader of the opposition in the council of Barking, Richard Barnbrook, said on Talksport monday, that he welcomes the current working non whites living here.
Well you said it in the first place Emma ……………. not me!!!!!!
As for me being a bully and a liar. Explain how you work that one out, i’m not a bully, merely saying things as I see them, as for being a liar, it was in the Barking and Dagenham post, for a couple of weeks running about one of thier councillors being evicted for non payment of rent, not a figment of my imagination………….How………..please tell me……….is that setting an example to the rest of the rent payers, including myself, in the borough.
12 September, 2006 at 2:19 pm #238455Good for you Mary for stickin to your guns!!
Hope the little un is ok now too
A few days ago, I had an argument with a council official, she said a similar thing about not dealing with me. I said to her you and the rest of your council official buddies are as bad as the doctors and nurses these days……………..you all have signs all over the place stating that pple behaving in a way you find unsuitable will not be dealt with, said i’m sick to death of it!! cos as far as i’m concerned, all that’s done is to give pple like you carte blanche to speak to pple like shyte, treat them like shyte, but the minute we say one word in defence, were either told we wont be dealt with, or cut off
10 September, 2006 at 2:52 pm #239948Food Heaven: Mmmmmm those big fat mushrooms, cooked and then chunk of brie in em, put em under the grill till the cheese melts, with fresh french bread, or the other italian bread, cant think of the name of it lol, yummyyy
Food Hell: Agree with Mrs C, anything fast food, kentucky pidgeon, muckdonalds etc etc
10 September, 2006 at 2:43 pm #238452I say let Kim n Aggie loose on all hospitals, let them help us gettin rid of something which can be contained…. and maybe everyone having thoughts of do I practise what I would expect….
=D> =D> =D> =D>
Maybe even an army of Kim n Aggie’s Mary………..it certainly needs something, hospitals in general are a complete disgrace!!
When my ex husband was in hospital last year, and I was going to see him, he said, I know i’m drivin you mad with make sure you use that gel, but I feel better if I know you do. I did too, every time I went in or out, I used the gel provided…………….what the point was tho, iv’e yet to fathom. I watched the domestic one day collecting the plates and cutlery from patients tables. She collected the cutlery from the old gentleman who was in the next bed, he’d eaten his meal (better person than me  ) she looked at his knife and fork, which prior to her coming round, he’d licked clean, and threw them in the tray containing the clean! cutlery, ready to be used again!!!!!
I was mortified!!! Patrick was in there having had a stomach operation! they’d just allowed him to start eating,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I went to the sisters office and reported it but still, we didn’t take any chances. It made all of us paranoid. We used to take food into him, along with CLEAN cutley for him to eat it with.

Drivel, are you aware that theres evil extremists within the mainstream parties, who hate people?
And, why are you racist? Why do you go around with hatred attached to your mind?
Richard Barnbrook is the leader of the BNP party, short n sweet. It’s very easy for him to say thru gritted teeth that he ”welcomes current working non-whites living here”.
If RB had his way, none of them would be here at all, and you know it Emma, the man is a bully and a liar……………………
It WAS one of his councillors who was evicted last week wasn’t it? for an extortionate amount of rent arrears. Yea Richard Barnbrook and his elite little band of followers, are a real example to the rest of us
