My heart goes out to the parents of Rhys,,,,how can any of us fathom such a thing happening to our child. It’s heartbreaking.

Unfortunately yes, the police have met a wall of silence,,,,fear? of retaliation, if pple do speak up…. Especially those who also have young children the same age as Rhys, I can’t imagine it being an easy one.

What happens tho,,,when this mini gunman is found. Are the do-gooders going to come out of the woodwork and tell us all what a horrendous childhood he’s has, how he’s been deprived, unloved, unwanted etc etc etc.,,,,,,, *yawnsssss* and of course he won’t be named, being under the age of criminal responsibility!!! They may even decide to send him on holiday, to recuperate and try to get over his dreadful start in life  I think it’s high time that more power be given back to the police, less paperwork and more action. Clips round the bloody ears for the mini louts on the streets, and if the parents complain, then clip then round the bloody ear too……

I’m sorry but I grew up in the East End,,,,and believe me Fasty,,,the East End used to be like you describe where you live,,,,pple wouldn’t dare walk into someone elses house and help themselves,,,,,they’d probably have had their hands cut off!!

Good point Pats,,,,,,16 years ago, my then 3 year old,,,in seconds, while I went into the living room,,,,climbed, using my washing machine door as a step, onto the worktop, reached the microwave, where he found a large syringe, it contained paint,,to mix with white,,,it was a brown colour,,,,literally seconds!!! he came back in the living and said the chocolate wasn’t nice lol,,,,,when I realised what he’d done I spent the next two hours in casualty, while they fed him charcoal drinks…..grrrrrrr. It was put on top of the microwave, which was on a shelf on the wall,,,so that he couldn’t reach it,,,,,so yes Pats does have a valid point when she says it depends on how determined they are.

Well I think it does tho really, with THIS case the person in question HAS lived here since he was 6 or 7 years old, which to me means that person has lived the most significant part of their life in THIS country

Because of that deporting him would be no more or less abhorrent than deporting someone born here, even a white british kid that was born here

Had, as I said earlier this person come here of their own choosing whilst already an adult I would wholeheartedly agree with deportation. But thats not the case, and to want to deport someone based pretty much solely on skin colour is, unlike most things given this label “racist” in its inception

Also, trying to expand this to be a discussion about ALL blacks or none whites is equally “racist” in the true sense of the word rather than the new academic meanineach case wont be the same unless the ONLY factor thats important is skin colour or ethnic origin

Irrespective of this persons skin colour they HAVE lived here for most of their childhood, which as far as I am concerned is a VERY valid point that is being conveniently overlooked

And because of most of this persons life being lived here in the UK this IS for all intents and purposes their “home” and “country” so there isnt a place TO logically deport them to which wouldnt be the case if he had lived his childhood in another country and THEN come here it would be a similar situation in the here and now, but NOT in my opinion the same situation by any stretch of a non biggotted imagination

Uber, there is a place to deport him to,,,,,whether he was 6/7 or 16/17, he still abused the country that gave him shelter, a better life, he abused it, he should be sent back to where he came from. It’s not racist, it’s nothing to do with colour,,,,i’d say the same from wherever he came from originnally. He came, or was brought here for a reason, probably that of a better life. He abused that right,,,,,,,,,,so send him back.

All this “self-inflicted” media hype was very suspicious to me from the start to be honest. The parents know what happened, if you ask me.

Your not alone in that thinking Sailin,,,,,,

    Hiya btw,,,,,hows you xx

    Signed Sharon

I totally agree with you too, whatever happened to the human rights of the victim!! Before too much longer there is going to be nothing short of anarchy. People are getting sick to the back teeth of the rights of the criminal in this country, there are no such rights for the victims.

As for the poor, downtrodden, in fear of his life man, who isn’t going to be deported. He’ll no doubt end up with a huge council house and enough benefits to live the life of riley! oh yea! he needs to be felt sorry for doesn’t he

All joking aside though, because it isn’t a joking matter.

I have to agree with PB,,,,he’s made some very valid points,,,,as he said,,,,let’s wait and see, we might be surprised at the outcome of all of this,,,,well some of us might anyway

Yea there are people out there who make the world a dangerous and scarey place to be Fast, and no ones arguing that whoever took this little girl is wicked beyond belief, it goes without saying.

It still doesn’t remove from the fact though, that their parents left them! in an apartment which was unlocked! why not lock it fgs! then no one, other than anyone having a key, would have been able to gain entry, would they? well i’d imagine not without causing damage which would have perhaps alerted someone, a passer by.

AGAIN! what about the other two, the twins,,,,,,,believe me, i’d personally not let them out of my sight, i’d probably take them to the nursery, but i’d also probably camp myself outside somewhere, until it was time to collect them. These two,,,,nahhhhh, they go off to have an audience with the pope! oh yea! thats going to help Maddie isn’t it!! they go off on these jaunts to publicise it. I don’t think there was anyone who didn’t know about her dissapearance within days of it happening, worldwide! unless of course you live in a cave in outer mongolia somewhere. Were all these jaunts really necessary?? or merely to serve their own selfish gratification.

    Token

Making it such a high profile case will have sealed her death warrant HAD she merely been kidnapped because whoever had her would have realised it was far too risky to try to keep her or release her

So if she HAD been alive the media circus the Mcanns were basking in would have guaranteed she wouldnt be found alive, whereas a low key police investigation at least had the chance of her abductors being traced through any forensics that might have been found

But you keep wittering on about the other two poor ickle mites, but heres the thing, they are in a foriegn country, away from their family and friends so how is THAT letting them get on with their life? How is THAT in their best interest?

The local police are pissed off with the Mcanns, the local people are pissed off wth the Mcanns and they are STILL there parading for cameras in a country where they WOULD be in jail for leaving their kids alone

And while they have been there they have on many occassions left the remaining two kids with other people to go off on their pointless galivanting, how is THAT “best” for the kids they havent killed yet?

I personally think the only “interests” they are concerned with is their own, not maddys, not the other two kids, just theirs

They are getting to have a MASSIVELY extended holiday, do what they THINK makes them look like doting parents even tho most of their actions, behaviour and body language screams the opposite with the added benefits of them getting to enjoy their extended 15 minutes of fame as well as not having to face the criticism of their friends, families and colleagues for causing this whole incident in the firstplace by their shoddy selfish parenting to begin with

My personal view after seeing their interviews is I reckon the pair of them are fully or near sociapathic with the entitled arrogant detachment from pretty much anyone and anything that accompanies that “condition” and I for one wouldnt bat an eyelid if they had either been arrested by the local authorities and jailed for leaving their kids as I think we should have a similar law here, and I think if the local authorities had deported them from the country it would have been far better for the two kids they havent killed YET

Obviously I can see the “appeal” to two adults of staying in a sun soaked country and holiday resort over returning to the UK and having to work, but that has nothing at all in connection with the best interests of the remaining kids whatsoever

    Well said Uber =D>

Seeing as your the one who thinks that anyone who speaks out against the McCanns is wrong Token,,,,,,and that those other two children should be allowed to get on with their lives, live as normal a life as possible, maybe you’d like to pick up there on one or two points that Uber made. Because whether you like it or not,,,,,,the only people denying them that, really are their parents.
