I’m with Emma on this one, my hands are down too. No! I don’t think a man would have been let off so lightly, I think it’s ludicrous!!!
It’s bloody scarey enough on the roads already, without thinking that there may be this woman in front of you one day, driving down lets say the M1, when her satnav suddenly tells her to make a right turn!!! At her age i’d have thought she’d have a slight modocum of common sense

FFS. She couldnt steal the soddin food if it wasnt in the house could she?
Have to agree with you Bat…………..
The case of this woman,,,the 14st boy and the 15st girl,,,,all have one common denominator don’t you think? none of them willing to take or share in any part of the blame for their situation, theyr’e all more than happy to blame someone else.
The 42st woman, as Pats pointed out, was in the Priory for 3 months, she lost 7 stone,,,,,the reason she came out of there after 3 months was because the funding ran out. Instead though, of going home and continuing a regime of healthy eating and no doubt excercise, she slipped back into her old ways and put the weight back on again. Yes, she’s ill, and yes she deserves help, but she has to play a part, she can’t expect other people to do it all and then blame them when it all goes wrong. Same goes for the other two

I agree yet some would argue that its perfectly reasonable for an adult to weigh 20 stone
Weird world we live in
There are some people Token who have weight problems, I have every sympathy with those people, for some it’s gland trouble for others its diabetis, and i’d imagine, a whole variety of other ailments.
I’m fortunate, i’m very slim, always have been, I have a high motabolism too so I can’t gain weight even if I try…………….my sister on the other hand,,,,,is the complete opposite. She weighs at the moment, 18 n half stone,,,,,,,,,christmas before last, she had a knee replacement,,,,,she had to lose 3 stone in weight before they would do it,,,,,,,,she did, she got down to just over 15 stone and had the new knee, she’s now back to 18 + and complains bitterly, every day, about the pain in her knee…………I’m as sympathetic as the next person Token, some would say soft as shyte, but do I feel sorry for her, no. Her new knee is carrying 3+ more stone in weight than it should be!!!
Iv’e seen quite a lot of her lately cos of the situation with my mum n the hosp n everything, the amount of food my sister puts away while she’s there would put a navi to shame!,,,,,,,,,,it’s always followed by,,,,,,,,,”I’m on a diet” ,,,,,,,,,,,,,I’d hate to see what she’d put away if she wasnt lol.
27 February, 2007 at 3:18 pm #261345Druid!!!!! I got another one!!!!!!
This afternoon I went to pick my car up, I only just got it and it was runnin bit lumpy so went back n they sorted it so it’s ok now,,,,but………………
I drove out the front of the place to the garage, which is outside, put 20p in the air machine and it didn’t work, I went inside to get another 20p as the machine had eaten mine and had given me no air for my tyres,,,,,,,,,he said,,,,,,and I quote,,,,,,,,”not our department, air machine run by another company, you have to write to them to get yr 20p back”!!!!! considering a stamp would cost me 27p, I don’t think i’ll bother.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
i’m not moaning about the 20p. it’s only 20p at the end of the day, but more the principle!

Call me Mr Angry or what, but don’t you realise that sometimes some people live on another planet?, this was typical today….
1. Local rag got shoved through the letterbox, nothing unusual?, lazy little sod never pushes it all the way in, even though he’s been told, therefore if it rains it gets wet…….and the rolled up ‘rag’ acts as a funnel, ergo puddles indoors, also advertises the fact that no one is at home.
I solved this one Dru by putting a notice in my front door, it’s a frosted glass door and the notice reads,,,,,,,No Menu’s, Leaflets, Free Newspapers, or any other cr@p which fits into that criteria!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it seems to work :lol:2. Latest trolley craze by shoppers, they are wandering down an aisle, no ‘wandering’ is the wrong word, ‘strolling dreamily’, yep thats it, so you decide to walk past them as they are so slow, whats happens? their little brain sparks into life and decides ‘Ooo I think I’ll turn around now’ and they swing the trolley in a wide arc without even thinking of looking first, when the feck did idiots start doing that? grrrr.
Theyv’e obviously never seen supermarket sweep have they  (no, i dont watch it,,im really not that sad  ) I know what you mean tho Dru, and when they turn round and whack you with their trolley, it’s you who shouldn’t have been there in the first place attitute gets you eh, lol
3. Following a car home last night, this guy was driving all at 10mph, so I overtook him….wrong move, he is now gesturing all manner of things at me, ‘pull in’, ‘you’ve got a bad juvanile habit’ motion, I’m thinking this guys on drugs, then the lights change, he gets out the car and starts shouting abuse and waving his arms around, what did I do take up his personal space?? Grrrr
Now this!!!! agrees wiv Bat too on the notion of supposedly bein psychic, then again Bat, i thought you was! psychic, well sugar said so anyway, Oo(or was it a witch) hehehehe……….well round here anyway, not only are you expected to be psychic, your supposed to be able to see in the dark, the same as those who clearly can, y’know,,,,,,,the ones who drive around at night with NO BLOODY LIGHTS!!!!!!!!!
4. So I get to ASDA, still in one piece and park the car, nothing could go wrong right?……wrong, women is putting her shopping in the back seat of the car, not the boot the back seat, and they all do it, shoppers of all ages, they open the door and ‘BANG’ straight into your paintwork……..do they give a toss?, more often than not they never notice. Grrrr
They dont give a toss dru  :wink:Grrrr………this posting will grow just with MY rants I can promise that!!
Me and my squirrel are gonna get pissed tonight!!!!
26 February, 2007 at 3:33 pm #262309I saw this on the news this morning. When they spoke to the boy himself, he was barely able to speak, no doubt because of the weight causing such strain on his internal organs, the very little he did say way barely audible dut to his wheezing.
It’s a total disgrace that a child of his age should weigh this amount. It seems tho, that the powers that be have actually tried to do their jobs in this instance, appointments have been made and not kept, not once but several times, she’s missed appointments with him on numerous occasions, she said this morning that it was due to her depression!!!! She said she’s tried to give him healthy foods but he won’t eat it, so she’s given in and made him his favorite meals of burgers, chips, mash etc etc etc……….then has the audacity to moan and say it’s everyone else’s fauilt,,,,,,,,,,,get a bloody grip woman!!! he’s 8 years old, maybe it’s time he stopped demanding what he want’s and did as he was told!
I don’t think he should be taken into care,,,,but I do think it amounts to abuse,,,,,if he were malnourished, it’d be seen as abuse wouldn’t it, so I don’t see how pple can say that this isn’t!
I think something needs to be put into place for the family to enable him to stay within his home environment and placed on a very strict diet,,,,,,,,,,however, if this should fail, as have all other attempts at helping them,,,,,,then yes, take him out of his home and place him into a hospital even,,,,,,,,,as they do with anorexic young girls, until theyre well.
25 February, 2007 at 2:58 pm #262091Signed too Capy and I agree with you too, it’s disgraceful that this drug isn’t widely available to those pple in genuine need, like your dad.
If your a heroin addict your given drugs to help wean you off, which cost a damned sight more than a mere £2.50 a day!
17 February, 2007 at 3:14 pm #259893I’m with everyone else on this,,,,,,,hang the scumbag!!!
But no……….iv’e no doubt that in the coming weeks, were going to hear what a dreadful upnringing he had, he didn’t know right from wrong etc etc etc,,,,,,the sameeeeeee old sorry story of woe………
No doubt too, when he does finally end up behind bars, we’ll all get told stories about infringements to HIS human rights because perhaps he doesn’t have his own personal toilet in the cell for him to use during the night, he has to actually walk to the toilet blocks!! poor soul! how could we do such an in-humane thing to him.
Hang the F ucker!! end of!!!!!
10 February, 2007 at 4:41 pm #258909Wasn’t there a case a little while ago, where a man spent 3 years inside, always protesting his innocence and the case was turned around ,,,,,,,,,,,, the woman had been found to be lying.
Worse still, was that apparantly, she’d done this on 3 other previous ocassions. The man who spent the time in prison is now back at home with his family, short of moving away, he’s decided to stay where he is, he’s done nothing wrong and has nothing to hide, good for him. ,,,,,,,,,, In the meantime, the perpetrator, has had her name changed and lives in a different part of the country,,,,,,,,,I spose we’ll hear from her again the next time she cries rape!!!
