Ugo i’m sorry but I agree, the colour of the childs skin is irrelevant, whether you missed it or not,,,,,,,,it’s doesn’t matter,,,,,,,it was an innocent child who didn’t deserve this kind of treatment.

Well done tho, Westminster City Council, who having learned the lessons from victoria klumbe (not sure if thats how its spelt, but you know who i mean) they clearly learned nothing!!! But I don’t doubt that we’ll hear all the same old sorry excuses, social workers being overloaded with cases etc., They went to this childs house on 5!!!! yes 5!! ocassions and were refused access!!!! they should have called the police the first time they were refused!! isn’t that their job??

I totally agree too Sharon with what your hubby did. It’s all very well having NHS Direct numbers given to you, and yes, they can give you advice, but they can’t give you anti-biotics, which your son clearly needed. I hope he’s feeling better too.

As some of you know, my mum’s in hospital. Last thursday nite she wansn’t too well. I didn’t worry too much, thought well she’s in the right place etc., But!! when I went in on Friday, just after lunch, you would have sworn she was suffering from altziemers!! she was babbling, not making any sense at all, crying, she was extremely hot. Between 1.45 and 3.15 i’d asked 3 times for a nurse to come and check her,,,,by the third time, I went along to the nurses station, she said i’ll be there in a minute, i said no, you’ll be there NOW!! RIGHT NOW!!! She came down and she called the doctor to the ward. The doctor, believe it or not, stabilised her by 8.30 that night! She had a UTI and a blood infection. She’s much better now, she spent a couple of days on a drip having IV anti biotics. The point tho, is that she’s actually IN hospital, it’s bloody scarey!!!

Don’t let’s turn this thread into a platform of right of wrong racism.

The point is, as Emma has said, the home office will only send him back if he’s ”not at risk” what a load of cr@p!!!!!!! What about the rist HE poses, to the country that took him in!! Whether he’s at rist or not should no longer be our problem!! I agree that he should be transported to Heathrow and put on the first flight back to where he came from in the first place, irrelavent of his colour!!!

Then you must be racist Cas. You wouldn’t advocate expelling white males from the country for committing these crimes.

Certainly not PB. Not if they were from this country originally anyway. Black or white, it’s irrelavant really. If your taken in by a country, because your at risk of torture or worse in your own, then you don’t abuse that hospitality, well most decent living people don’t anyway. If you do, then you go back, no second chances, hard? yes!

Whats the alternative PB, bang him up for a couple of years at more expense to the tax payer, then we release him back out into the community so that he can do it all over again, that sounds like a much better idea doesn’t it……………..oh!!! and let’s not forget, that way, HIS human rights wouldn’t be violated would they

And yes PB, i’m fully aware that you were being pedantic.

    Smiley (Tom)

A young man of 20 who’s dating a 19 year old. So nineteen, in your world, still being a teenager, would you then call the 20 year old, a pervert. If so, i think it says more about you, than it would the 20 year old.

Where I used to live, there were only 16 houses on the street……..personally I got sick and tired of the postMAN! delivering the entire pack of post for the street through my door, I was number 2 so was the first house.

I happened to be there one day when the entire post for the street came through the door and I went outside and called him. I asked isn’t it your job, not mine to put the post through the doors, he gave me a blank stare. I took my own post and returned the rest of it to him. HE! wasn’t blonde, He actually was a black male, but then i’m sure PB would call me a racist for complaining about it.

Isn’t it a case of our wonderful government juggling with figures again.

If they make it compulsory for kids to stay on at school until they’re 18, never mind that they can’t make a lot of them stay in school now when they’re 13/14 etc., It’ll make the dole figures look good tho won’t it. I wonder how long it’ll be after this comes in play before the government are crowing that once again, they’ve lowered the unemployment figures

I hope your mother makes a speedy recovery and i never meant any harm by my posts okay. I come here for a laff and a bit of a wind up….. I wont change how i am on the boards but please dont take anything personal. It most certainly isnt meant to be. Its just words on a screen to me and to a lot of the other wind up merchants but in this case im sorry if I have upset u.

p.s. dont go spreading the word that I have got a heart will u. My reputation will be in tatters…

^^^^ I received this in PM from Fast. Is it supposed to in some way make me feel better. Do I feel upset that you found the whole thing amusing? yes I do Fast. Did you perhaps think then, that I posted this as a wind up? I have better morals than that.

Had you posted this apology on this thread then I would have accepted it, gracefully. The only person tho that your thinking about is yourself, and your reputation, so it means nothing.

Well this is all well and good Dawny, but Cas hasn’t suggested that the driver of this motorised wheelchair was drunk at the time of the accident. Simply that her aged mother got run into by one – and sadly was injured.

We assume that this acident happened on a pavement and that therefore the vehicle was a Class2 – speed restricted vehicle.

It could have been a total accident; it could have been an avoidable accident; it could even have been deliberate – we simply do not know, hence my questions.

However, the real underlying issue is that these conveyances are not classed as ”vehicles” within the meaning of the various Road Traffic Acts. A Class 3 scooter is considered a vehicle under the Road Traffic Acts in that there is a mandatory requirement for front and rear lights and Indicators if used on a road (but not a pavement). They are however exempt from Road Fund Licence and number plates under special rules. A class 2 scooter is exempt from these requirements but is confined to use only on the pavement.

So if you want to take issue with the use of these scooters then you need to campaign for a change in the Mobility Vehicle Regulations so that their use is restricted ONLY to those who hold a proper licence to drive them and are fully insured, and comply with the Road Traffic Acts etc etc.

Of course if you do this you will find that those disabled people who rely on using them to get around may well not be able to comply with the Road Traffic Act requirements and thus be confined to a wheelchair or their homes.

    Tough choice isn’t it???

The driver of this particular one was drunk PB, he’s often drunk. There were many witenesses to this mostly the market traders, who all!!! say that the man is a menace. My mum isn’t the first person he’s hit, but unfortunately, she’s the first one he hurt so seriously.

I wasnt suggesting for one moment that these things should be banned. They should however, be driven responsibly, just as I am expected to do in my car.

His machine is a Class 3 Type, yes top speed of 8mph, not very fast no, but you don’t need it crashing straight into the back of you at it’s full 8mph, and the not being happy with having knocked you down, actually ends up on top of you. He still at that point had it in the GO position and the wheels were spinning as two of his wheels were off the ground, the other two were on my mum. Having a top speed of even 8mph he’s not allowed to drive it on a pavement or pedestrian precinct at more than 4mph. It’s the class 3 type, which is supposed to, already!! be registered with the DVLA when purchased. But they’re not, THAT!!! pb is what I am trying to change. I’d defy you, fast or anyone else here who thinks the entire situation is funny, to do anything different were you in the position I find myself in.

The police tell me that theres little they can do as these things aren’t and don’t register, and they should. On Tuesday night, my mum was moved from the hospital she was in, to another one, which is actually nearer to me. I was following the ambulance and I was stopped by the police,,,,,,,,,they asked me to turn off my engine and asked me if I knew why i’d been stopped,,,,,,,I said no, the officer then proceeded to give me a lecture on LITTERING!!!! I was gobsmacked, I asked was he bored!!! (i’d thrown a cigarette end out of the window) but then I don’t doubt for one moment that you’ll find that equally as funny as you find my mum being under the wheels of this scooter. As for, ”what harm can they do” well let me suggest that you stand in front of one of them and let it hit you,,,,then you might find out.

To bring you up to speed on my mums condition. And I fully appreciate that none of it has been helped by her age,,,,,,,,,,We were told yesterday PB, that in view of the extent of her injuries,,,,we have to be prepared for the fact that she may well lose her leg. Well PB and Fast, why don’t the pair of you go and have a good laugh about that!!
