We were away at the coast so couldn’t go and watch the demolition so we waved goodbye to the pepper pots as we passed by on Friday; however my brother in law (out on a drunken night out with the lads :shock: ) went to see it.

We came back from the coast on Tuesday and the M1/Viaduct is just not the same without our pepper pots :cry:. our famous landmark is gone forever and now we have a demolished pile of rubble next to the lovely sewage treatment works and the lovely green glass tit (sorry I mean Oasis dome) of Meadowhall shopping centre instead :!: Hardly prime location for houses to be built or a monument is it :!: Why can’t they leave things alone the pepperpots weren’t hurting anyone. It was rumoured that Guiness were going to buy them and paint them black as a permanent advertisement, even that would have been better than them being blown up/down?? whatever you do up or down them.

And and and and… our pepperpot divide between Sunny Sheffield and Rough Rotherham has gone grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr……………. runs away before Pats can reply.
