Oh and who did you buy the RAM from? I had had problems like you mention in the past from buying certain brands of RAM. Never had a problem with crucial.com though – fantastic service and reliability. Oh and I didn’t even get a fee for saying that!!

Sorry about that, just got back from my holidays and then had to move house – still waiting for the Internet to get connected up; give me a few days to get back up to speed and all will be sorted ;)
My understanding is that the cost of a passport includes cover for ‘consular assistance’ – therefore there should not be any additional charges for such an evacuation (at least for British citizens).
