I would like to document another unprofessional exchange with a chat guide.

    Context (not captured):

When I logged into the room the conversation was about insurance on bank accounts being covered up to £75,000. I mentioned that it isn’t a good idea to keep that much money in a bank account and it would be better to invest it.

LE responded that investments have some risk of losing value, which can certainly be true. I offered the counter arguement thant saving money in a bank is a guarenteed loss of value because it is erroded over time by inflation (especially at the moment).

For some reason LE did not like this and threatened to mute me for an indeterminate reason:

I responded to this mentioning the abuse that I documented in the original post of this thread. To this i was told to “grow up”, which wasn’t the response given to people who were abused by guests (except me), they all had to be banned, even the innocent ones.

When other users expressed concern over this, LE seemingly tried to deny that anyone has ever been muted or banned from JC. Not sure what the purpose of this was.

When I reminded LE that I was threatened with an unjustified mute, I was told that it “was a statement not a threat” … whatever that is suppose to mean.

    It’s was clearly a threat.

Just wondering what your opinion would be if the vote of “Worst” had won. From now on should we only accept the losing vote as the winner ? Trying to work out your logic ? There are less chatters than usual but there are more registered chatting and increasing all the time. and what is really nice to see is the art of conversations has returned to JC There are a few guests i haven’t seen register yet which i would really like to see

Firstly this is a poll, not a vote. There is no winner or loser. Sampling board user’s opinion of the chat room is a flaw in the methodology, but perhaps this isn’t important.

I’m applying a variation of Paul Samuelson’s stong axiom of revealed preference.

I thought that it was self explanatory, but the general idea is that a stated preference of a person (what they say they want) are often different than their revealed preference (what products/services they actually buy or use). There are a number of reasons why this can happen depending on what is being asked.

Which do you think is a more accurate indicator of what people really think, what they say, or what they do?

That is not my quote….stop trying to cause your usual drama…..you are intelligent enough to quote correctly as we have all seen

I didn’t do that intentionally, direct your complaints at Martin.

get rid of the numbers on the site due to the racist and abusive scrolling and comments. I know due to the amount of time you spend in here you are happy to glean attention from either registered users or those who choose to abuse to satisfy your need for attention, even professing that some come here and enjoy the abuse.

And yet you refuse to ban people who post homophobic abuse.

This is example of the difference between stated and revealed preference.

People will state that they prefer the chat without guests because it’s the current status quo.

However their revealed preference is that they in fact prefer guests, this is proven by the following:

    1. When the members only room was opened nobody used it
    2. When guests were banned from F2 and F3 everyone from F2 migrated to F1 and F2 became empty, and usage of F3 dropped significantly also
    3. When guests were banned from F1 several people left the site

What people reveal though their actual actions is a more accurate reflection of what they actually think than what they state when asked.

    So … wheres the ban?

I was told that preventing vile and hateful abuse was this sites #1 priority.

You need to unban them first.

But what is the motivation behind this post?

I guess chat usage must be dropping off, I wonder whyever that could be.

For the record…..Divine was chatting most of the day the other day as was Drac and Merlin couldn’t wait to get a new name registered…..don’t give them credit for any loyalty just yet…..sadly that’s JC for you…..no one really cares about anyone’s leaving

I’m finding it difficult to understand what you are trying to say here.

I do not have any loyalty to JC, why would I?

Why do you have loyalty to it?

But you gerry boi (and one or two of your fwends) – you have a very very unhealthy addictive dependency on being part of the JC ecosystem.

Now, this did make me laugh. Changing ID countless times after abusing countless women on this site isn’t a life Skeletor, you do know this right? You don’t have a life outside JC, you pathetic creature and which is why you have had scores of different IDs in the first place. 😍

Could we not have this argument in this thread please?

There are plenty of others for that.

I was in the room Drac when this went on and just before your 1st screen shot you said “i dont like lesbians” Pot kettle black there i thinks

Admitedly I didn’t articulate that very well, my girlfriend is a lesbian.

Most of the “lesbians” that I know identify as that due to past experiences with abusive male partners, and as a result have a range of pyschological problems associated with that, which can make them difficult to deal with.
