…….. There’s no condoning hitting his wife, but his good points and what a sublime footballer he was shouldent be forgotten.

Sadly I don’t suppose he will be forgotten – particularly by all the women he beat up and / or put in hospital – or by his several wives who he betrayed by fornicating with any woman that was stupid enough to let him.

OK so he was a footballer a quarter of a century ago. Since then he was a homeless, penniless drunk who smashed up women.

If it was anybody else………………………. !!!!!!!!!

Sure – but then you lot won’t fight. I give you a chance to swing your handbags, and what do you do?? Pose in front of as mirror and repair your make-up.

    No fun in that huh?

Would anyone be sad if he was a drug addict? Same difference both addictions so im just wondering?

Erm…. no, particularly if he was a wife beating drug addict!!!

As it is he is a wife beating drunk.

Already the media are hovering outside the hospital doors – 30 – 40 or more camera crews, photographers, photo journalists etc all waiting for the historic monent when God finally calls last orders on the ”great George Best”.

I wonder how his facially scarred for life women feel right now???

Yup those questions are good, I ask the about the clientele, the busy times and so on, showing an intrest in the company always gets you the job 8)

I love the question, “What do you think you can offer our company?”

    Yes I agree – it’s a killer question isn’t it.

    My favourite interview questions are:

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

and best of all “What makes you think you are a good salesman (or whatever the job title is)?

These are called stress questions and are specifically designed to put the candidate onto the back foot.

A great response is to bat the ball right back at the interviewer with “Tell me Mr Interviewer, have you seen anything so far to make you think I’m not”

good thing with hotmail is it wont open files with virus any way

True – lots of ‘webmail’ providers won’t open virus carrying messages but you shouldn’t rely on this alone. Quite a few viruses / worms etc are specifically configured to get through Hotmail’s defences.

For example, I use BT as my internet mailbox and theoretically it scans all incoming mails before automatically delivering them to my computer. However, it doesn’t always work as it should and occasionally a mail is delivered complete with its virus payload. This is why I have a fully updated anti-virus programme running on my computer from start up.

I would recommend that ALL computer users have an anti-virus programme installed on their computer and that they DON’T rely on ‘webmail’ alone to block viruses.

so what type of questions should i ask them?

The more obvious ones would be:

What are the main working hours?

Am I required to work at say weekends or Bank Holidays / Statutory Holidays?

    What will I be paid?

Will I be required to work overtime?

If I work ‘overtime’ what rates of pay apply to this?

How are tips distributed? (Are they pooled for equal distribution amongst all the staff or alternatively is each waiter / waitress allowed to keep their own).

Is my pay adjusted to allow for the fact that I may receive tips? (In other words will you be paid a low basic wage because you are assumed to receive tips from customers).

What is the holiday allowance? (i.e. how many working days).

Are there any restrictions on when you can take holidays? (Particular needs of the business etc).

Is my employment subject to any probationary term – may be on probation for the first 3 months and then confirmed as permanent.

Is my employment permanent or temporary or ”seasonal”?

What notice period is required both from employee to employer and from employer to employee?

Do you provide any sort of ‘uniform’?

What style and type of clothes do you want me to wear for work?

Do you have an Employee’s handbook? (This ought to contain details of for example a Statutory Grievance procedure, general terms and conditions of employment and so on.) – If they don’t have one let me know and for a suitable fee I can draft one for them.

Are there any additional benefits that come with the job? (free meals before or after work would be an example).

Off the top of my head these are some of the questions that you should ask IF they are not covered in the interview.

Above all keep calm and polite and smile a lot. Your pleasant personality is probably the most important factor in all this as it is what the paying customers will see.

Oh – and please don’t forget to wear knickers

…….so if anyone has any advice for me please tell me lol x x

Make sure that you don’t forget to wear knickers !!!!

Oh yes, and try to think of some specific reasons why you want to work at that particular restuarant – the style of cuisine – the ambience – the friendly atmosphere – the good reputation locally – you knew about it from friends who have eaten there and loved it – and so on.

Oh and forget about the tits – it doesn’t work with professional managers. Just smile and be friendly and open.

Not a problem Cat – I’m sure that Geoff won’t mind a wee bit of publicity – he is a really good web developer / website designer and will certainly do a first class job for you. (Have you clicked on the ”Interan” link?????)

Meanwhile the best thing that we can ALL do is to speak with anybody we know who is getting married, refer them to your website, and ask them to get in touch.
