We’ll wait and see how the team performs but had Sven just dropped Beckham he would have said that it was because he was still to start pre-season training with real Madrid or some lame excuse, so well done McLaren for making his first two decisions bold ones.
As a slight aside, this might be the end for Beckham as an Internationalist but look how Lineker, Shearer and others prolonged their club careers after giving up their England places – wouldn’t surprise me to see Becks have a great couple of years with Real now.

I don’t mind culling to protect the fish stocks or to keep disease to a minimum amongst the remaining seals but I DON’T agree with making it into a sport or an ‘adventure holiday’ for people to get their jollies:

I disagree too – most of the board regs are ex or current chatters who can and do hold their own (and more) whenever they can be bothered going back into the Chat Rooms. Many of them become Board regs because of the LACK of quick-thinkers and wit in the Chat Rooms.
Fact is, if people are ‘intelligent’ (your word – I would use ‘confident’) enough to voice an opinion on the Boards, they are going to be more than capable of coping with the lol/rofl/brb/hi/bye/bbl/mwaaaah brigade that seem to occupy the Chat Rooms MOST of the time.
Anyone worried about needing intelligence or good spelling skills on the boards could quickly be reassured by looking at any of the topics in F1 and F2 boards, the polls or quizzes boards or anything posted by DOA. :wink:
