I realised you were a nice woman from the start american woman it was evident by your concern for animals but I’m sure you’ll see how necessary it was to ask the question on behalf on PB. He’s been let down so many times before.

He appears to have woken a little rattier than normal his last posting made even less sense did you see it? he wrote “By The Way – ok doesn’t make sense does it? Hope someone else comes to our aid …….

american lady. you know the way our countries have formed alliances and tried to work together, whether in the way you have helped to sustain us during periods of world conflict notably WW1 and WW2 and most recently during the Iraq conflict? I wonder whether I can again ask you to help me? You will have noted that the PB has awoken from his slumbers he often has a nap in the afternoon and I fear the extra net traffic has kept him awake.
Do you know what he means when he uses the abrev. BTW I fear it may be a trifle rude so would not wish to upset any of the ladies (if indeed they are) close at hand whereas your distance is. on this occasion comforting.

By the way, I still miss, Alister Cook

    Bats,

re: “I,m afraid I find the idea of loos being locked and kids not being allowed the basic right to go for a pee in lesson time draconian to say the least, and if I want to moan about it, I,ll bloody moan about it.”

I also find the idea of closed toilets Draconian and in no way meant what I wrote to cause you any upset. I wrote to explain why some schools have been forced to take such measures. It is most unfortunate when innocents are affected by the action of a handful of anti social misfits and cannot partake in the elementary actions of going to the toilet when nature calls the tunes. I am in a similar position myself, but we want go into that.
It’s a sad indictment of to-days society when family discipline has declined to the extent that loutish children can dictate by their unruly behaviour the rules which govern our schools. There are instances of junior/primary school children who have been sexually assaulted by their peers in the confines of the school toilets. Some schools have monitors on a rota basis to take turns on toilet duty to help stamp out such incidents. Aerosols, spray paints, tippex, and other solvents are sometimes found as are the remnants of hash boot polish residues etc. the list is endless. Schools are fully aware of the dangers and sometimes a blanket ruling is applied by a local authority. I would like to think that your daughter’s school is erring on the safety side and ensuring that these practises do not occur. Maybe they should have implemented a special dispensation proceeder for such emergencies where the child could go to the secretary and use the staff toilets. Maybe you could ensure this or another procedure could be set in place for the future.
The fact remains that had your daughter answered the call of nature during class time she could have been in a potentially vulnerable position outside of the safety of the teachers supervision who are there to take due care and attention of their wards our children.
Its a bloody jungle out there and without the disapline which we were taught under it will continue to decline whilst the actions of the minororty continue to spread anarchy through the system.

You may find the reports of such orginasation as Childline enlightening and disturbing as I did.

Ever thought the School may have to operate restrictive toilet times to reduce their usage for drugs. As for the Teacher misplacing an exercise book I wonder how many times the teacher has had students use that excuse.
Teachers are there to teach our kids instead of us doing it and deserve as much support as we can give them, not to be criticised at every opportunity. I think that a contract should be entered into when a child starts school giving the staff the rights for a disciplinary procedure at least everyone would know what the ground rules were from the start in much the same way as I did when I was at school it was easy then if you played up you got the cane. If you cheaked a Teacher you got the cane, fought, smoked, stole etc. you got the cane.
There were 1400 kids in my comp. number of kids who got the cane? doubt whether there were four a year. Ask them whether they deserves it and their answer would be yes. Ask them whether they would have been punished at home if there parents found out? answer: yes.
Those who wish to not to be bound by theses rules could take their kids elsewhere where their progress would be less disrupted to the rest of us.
Where else do you employ someone and then restrict their ability to operate with petty restrictions? Allow the school governers to govern if you don’t like the way they run the school take an active part and change the rules. If you’re not prepared to help you should shut and put up and leave them to it.
