No, it is not the same situation.
The equivalent would be if you recorded a telephone conversation with one person without them being aware that you are recording it, then played that recording to a third party.
I assume from your response that you are defending cut and pasting to a third party.

A large number of the most recent immigrants into this country are white europeans…this is not a colour issue from what I can see, but a feeling of being overwhelmed by people from other countries.
This was ever so and we have a rich culture as a result, but the latest inhalation of people from other countries has happened too quickly in my opinion, and the government didn’t expect it, and don’t know what to do about it.
It isn’t necessarily a bad thing in the long term, but it may prove to be the last straw that broke the camel’s back as far as our schools and hospitals are concerned.

Whenever February posts on the boards, her personality ensures that she always has people posting in reply to her. She is intelligent and witty. I don’t know her, but I don’t judge someone by what anyone else says to me, I make my own mind up. I always do about everyone.
There have been some vicious personal things put about a number of regular posters lately. And other board users, who know nothing about that person, jump in and post their nasty little comments to add to the tarring and feathering. And people who don’t even post come here to read it all. It is on a par with the worst kind of reality TV. And because the reader thinks they “know” the people concerned, it takes on a life of its own.
I get the image of all those little old ladies knitting and watching the French royals being beheaded day after day.
Someone said they would prove something to me some time ago. It took no time at all, and the proof just keeps rolling in.
