Doesn’t St Francis of Paulo impose perpetual abstinence from all white meat?I am not from the Order of Minims
I am, however, of note

I’m on a sentimental journey
into sight and sound
of no return and no looking back or down.
A conscientious objector to the
war that’s in my mind.
I’m leaving in the lurch and i’m
taking back whats mine.I’m on a mission
into destination unknown.
An expedition
onto desolation road
(where i’m a….castaway-going at it alone
castaway-now i’m on my own
castaway-going at it alone
castaway-now i’m on my own
lost and found, trouble bound,
castaway.I’m riding on the night train and
driving stolen cars,
testing my nerves out on the boulevard.
Spontaneous combustion in the
corners of my mind
While leaving in the lurch
and i’m taking back whats mine.I’m on a mission
into destination unknown.

onto desolation road

It was the first snow of the season
I can almost see you breathin
in the middle of that empty street.Sometimes i still see myself
in that lonesome bedroom
playin my guitar
and singing songs of hope
for a better future.Life is
only
as good as the memories we make
and i’m taking back what belongs to me.
Polaroids of classrooms unattended
these relics of remembrance
are just like shipwrecks
only they’re gone faster
than the smell after it rains.Last night while everyone was sleepin
i drove through my old neighbourhood
and resurrected memories from ashes. We said that we would never fit in,
we were really just like them.
Does rebellion ever make a difference?life is
only
as good as the memories we make
and im taking back what belongs to me
polaroids of classrooms unattended
these relics of remembrance
are just like shipwrecks
only they’re gone faster
than the smell after it rainsSo long astoria
i found a map to buried treasure
and even if we come home empty handed
well still have our stories
of battle scars, pirate ships and wounded hearts,
broken bones, and all the best of friendships. And when this hourglass
has filtered out
its final grain of sand,
i raise my glass to the memories we had
this is my wish
this is my wish
im takin back
im takin them all back29 October, 2007 at 7:24 pm #291351If we are going to name and shame ‘convicted’ paedophiles (and i think they have to have been through what passes for our justice system beforehand), then why not name and shame other types of violent criminals?
Hmmmm now then, what about putting up posters of rapists? Or the thugs who target the elderly and beat them to a pulp? Why stop there? Why not have a board in your local supermarket of all the local villains, the muggers, shoplifters, etc. In fact, why stop at a board with photos etc, why not have a village green with stocks set up in them, and an everlasting supply of rotten tomatoes, and we can all spend ten minutes after our weekly shop coating the nasty horrid little oiks with rotten fruit and veg.
We would all feel so much better, wouldn’t we?
