Once worked for Railtrack on a few of the stations and found the safety procedures quite strict.We thought it a bit of a laugh having to use heavy wooden ladders instead of lightweight aluminium ones,well we found it funny until they showed us film footage of what would happen to us if we touched the overhead power lines with metal ladders,not a pretty sight :-… ,they also told us to report anything that we considered a danger and they always made it safe more or less as quickly as humanly possible,but i can see how some peeps get over confident with certain jobs and so these shocking films are a good thing.
