as when we cry, we actually cry for ourselves, and that’s a hard fact for a man to swallow.

Well that’s a shame, as you have a talent for sincere and humane
threads even if like most they get hijacked by the usual F3 back-biting-last-word-nonsense. So best wishes with future fortunes.

I very rarely cry; it’s probably been a couple of years since I last did so and even then it was more a welling-up than actual tears. I was also ill anyway. But I do remember that feeling of bottoming-out in selfishness yet a strange sense of purification afterwards.

Is this normal ? Wouldn’t know because I very rarely cry.

I’d like to dedicate this to Ruby Red, who earlier tonight informed me of the vocalist’s sad passing which I wasn’t aware of.

You quite possibly can’t tell from this clip but this is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever encountered.

Any Celeb (grades E to Q)-obsessed Fookwit whose brains became caramelised long before they first realised their lives were going nowhere will LOVE this programme; their automated and media-driven responses to it will make many log off faster than they have ever logged off before, and deep despair will be felt by other members of homo sapiens who, subsequently, will think they missed a ship that never remotely sailed.

    I’m a massive fan.

I just think its cos peeps take a back seat and let people like me and gaz who used to post alot do the posting.

Exactly. Because those who ‘post alot do the posting’

People who might have opinions to share just can’t be bothered because they’ll only get personally put down by you, or gazlan, or thin ice……..etc.

And this is why said characters are anethema to a healthy message board. It’s not as if any of you have anything original to contribute at the best of times.

You cannot engage in discussion with those who continually resort to personal insult and will not keep to the subject matter (read this thread for instance), and therefore members with something to say are put off from replying.

The trouble is that practically any viewpoint, about anything, can be supported from some esoteric corner of the net. Which means that the discussion then gets chocca with secondary and usually confusing sources, which quite often have a larger agenda than the JC topic in question, and as Mel has pointed out this completely detracts from the rhythm of a good message board thread where posters use their own words.

Everybody ‘googles’, but then someone like gazlan will feel inferior about their own argument, and lacking in confidence will use another site that is slightly less peer-reviewed than gazlan-reviewed.

So, agreed, people shouldn’t link too much. Nor stand on soap boxes while attempting to type.
