I am always surprise what people try and flush down their toilets, yesterday was no different, someone had try to flush a roast turkey and all the trimmings down the pan.
The result was that all 6 flats in the grade 2 listed building had blocked toilets, sinks and bathrooms for most of Christmas day.
What did surprise 4 men working in the dark freezing conditions to remove the problem was the image on the drain cam of cooked turkey with crackers shoved up its a r s e.
Has they cleared the blockage they found more; everything from minces pies to a Santa hat.
After 3 hours and of cutting and replacement of cast iron pipe the job was done, needless to say it put the lads off there Christmas dinners.
The customer was asked “why and how” this had happened, the reply was simple, “asked my wife she’s the one who did it, she a bit stress about my mother coming for dinner”
Lets hope today is better, who’s knows it can’t get any worst than yesterdays madness…….
