I was listening to the radio and they were talking about one of these refuge homes for people who are trying to escape violence. One mother they talked to had been there, with her children, for some time. She was in the refuge not to escape from a violent husband – no, she was forced out of her home by harrassment from a local street gang.

Surely it’s the street gang that should have been removed, not this woman and her family.

It’s because they (The Authorities) have no control over the “Gangs”..

Oh I know!! and I agree,,,,,don’t get me wrong, i’m not defending the scumbags, just pointing out how they all seem to suddenly remember their ‘human rights’ when anyone should have the audacity to question their actions.

Iv’e spent the past few days Sarah, propping up a very good freind. Her psycho husband thought it a really great idea to try to push her already ailing heart to an attack that would perhaps have killed her! The police can do nothing, he admitted that what he did was all a wind up to upset her, the only thing they can and are going to do, is charge him with wasting police time.

She in the meantime, is safe and well, and will remain so until an injuction is in place (tomorrow) stopping the psycho from coming near her!!

The law it seems, sadly, is on the side in the main, of the perpetrator

    Agreed

They always are with victims of abuse . . although I prefer them to be called Survivors rather than victims . . those that escape it that is :?

She’ll survive. She has freinds and family who love her dearly, and were there to make sure she does. I truly hope that this woman and her children have that same support.
