Does anyone remember there first day at school?
Wether it be pre-school, primary, or secondary.
Just wondered as my son starts pre-school on monday, and im so worried for him lol.. Think its a case of me worrying to much as he dont seem to mind..
I think you are right….my mum said on my very first day I told her to go away and when she wouldn’t go I gave her a push so she knew I meant it and it upset her a lot.

I think its quite worrying for a parent when a child starts a new school..But think we as parents worry to much about our children, thinking they are not going to be ok, when really they will be absolutly fine!

All I remember of my first day at school was sitting on chairs in a big circle, the other kids started school before me, I was ill and couldn’t start at the same time. The teacher asked if someone would like to be my friend and show me where everything was and a girl called Karen put her hand up. We are still friends now some 35 years later.
Wish I was in Wales now actually, her husband is dying and I would like to be there for her like she has been there for me :(
I don’t remember much of nursery or primary school but I do remember senior school, the school had 1800 pupils and I was scared to death, I remember standing in the concert hall and being put into our house groups, I got so confused with it all. To cut a long story short, I hated it. :lol:
my first clear memory is being at nursery the year of the jubilee. And eating big biscuits.
yeh rememer first day at primary school… loved it, after I got over the initial shock of my brothers abandoing me… tut they were well warned too lol.
Good luck with the lil un’, I’m sure they will have a blast and you’ll soon be wondering what you were worrying about. :lol:

that is so touching. i myself remember my first day at school fighting for first in line with a girl who is now my sis in law . and i still hate her.
