I love it when politicians are in deep crap (or when an election is on the way).

That’s because I know, I know, that a budget will appear in which it’s revealed that there is the money to help overcome poverty. :good:   :good:   :good:

And this is just the beginning as we prepare for the bright and prosperous uplands which come with ‘freedom’ from all those pesky rules.

The only trouble is that, when they’re out of the crap, or when the election is over, the giveaways become takebacks. :negative:   :negative:   :negative:

I love the 2 for 1 sales… buy 1.. get one free. Hey suppose to be a savings…well if not jack up the prices before put on sale.

Can be like politicians. Get a deal..bargain..but at what a cost? So does it pay for that 2 for 1 special? I wonder….

    Yup, Linda.

Politicians of all stripes are pretty good at those offers.

There are actually sincere politicians but

    it’s a dirty game.

all parties will offer goodies to get voted in. sadly we then fall into situation where those whom stand to gain most will vote for economic reasons and not what is good for all or country..hhmm bit like Brexit I guess.so nothing new then. the selfish always win.

The average tax rate on the new budget is actually higher when you factor in things like national insurance and fuel tax. So they aren’t giving anything away, they are taking it.

    Drac

Absolutely agree when it comes to tax rates. The poorer will be worse off, according to the first judgements by Tax experts.

I was thinking of the money for the NHS and mental health. It’s not enough, but it’s not nothing.

Also effectively ending the swindling system where fatcats like G4S and Serco to milk the public sector.
