ok, here is somthing for you all to ponder with, i’ll try not to go on

but my friend currently works in a very enjoyable job for a little amount of money, the reason it is enjoyable is because she gets on so well with her boss, so well that they go to gigs together, she buys her gifts for no reason, looked after her.. groomed her and given her confidence over the years

however, the time had come for her to look for a job for more money, so she applied for a job and got it.. its about 5 grand a year more, she was over whelmed

but her boss has not taken it too well, her boss has insulted her, called her selfish and basicly shut the door in her face and told her to get out of her house tonight, she feels really bad, her current boss has basicly black mailed her to say, stay here.. or me for or lose the friendship

she is cut up about it, my opinion is, that maybe her boss is’nt the friend she cracked up to be, she is in tears now… and not only has her boss been insulting her but her ex boyfriend has too who is also friends with her… she is now to the stage where she thinks she will refuse this new job for the sake of keeping the peace

I think thats daft… what would you do? and how would you as a friend deal with it, do i step in and try and help and speak to her boss, or leave her to it

to me, she is getting bullied and part of me wants to get involved because this should’nt happen, regardless of how hurt her boss may feel

sharron.. you are the only one up right now.. give us your feedback :)

    ugo

Is she Bonking the Boss as well ???

    #280826

She will regret not taking the job just to save the feelings of someone who does not even appear to be that much of a “friend”.

If it means leaving where she lives (I assume from your post she is staying with the boss), is there a friend or someone who can put her up?

Sounds to me like this boss bird is trying to manipulate her. If she wont stand up for herself she needs a friend like you to help her. Dont go in all guns blazing, just guide her to your way of thinking.

But, yes I agree, you are right. And there is also the small matter of an extra 5k per year…. 8)

tell her boss to fook off and take the new job.

she is not the sort of person to do that though, no she does’nt live with her, but she is a very close freind (or was)

just felt a bit helpless just, on the phone.. hate that feeling of being helpless.. i am a rubbish listener, i said completly the wrong things :(

Offer her a place to stay whilst she gets her life sort and finds somewhere to stay and point out real friends wouldn’t treat her like sh!t.
