I think we’re in with the best chance of qualifying for a long time Mary. After France midweek, which I ain’t expecting much if anything from, the biggest test is the next game against Italy. We’ve got a good record at home recently, especially against the big guns.

Anyone else getting emails from ‘MyOffers’? I get that a lot, even though I have a spam blocker in my internet security settings. Only thing to do is put them in my inbox, mark them as spam, delete them and hope for the best.
Strange thing is, I don’t get them in my hotmail account – my mum has a hotmail account and always gets the kind of emails mentioned here.
Obviously nobody wants my body :-({|=
Thanks for all the advice but I think things are best left as they are. I’m not very tech minded so don’t want to muck around with it and play about with things any more than I already have.
As for the validation issues, I’m as confused as anybody else. The online validation tool gives me an error message, the downloaded validation tool says that I have a genuine copy. Can’t download SP2 from a disk either, so it’s probably best that I just make do.
I have decided that from now on I am not touching a thing!! I tried the Packard Bell restore which is completely reversible (no it’s not!) and have spent the last two and a half hours attempting to restablish an internet connection.
Now that it’s back, it shall be left alone!
Did not complete – said it was unsupported.
DOA – I don’t have an HP computer so that first one porobably wouldn’t work. However, I did try the Internet Explorer 7 download and it’s actually doing it.
The reason I seem surprised is that it usually tells me that it cannot validate my software even though the validation tool says…guess what? Genuine!
I’m hoping this’ll download okay but since I don’t have SP2 I’m not so sure.

I have to ask why did you think SP2 was playing up to begin with? I mean people’scomputers play up, but nobody jumps to the conclusion its SP2.
Now knowing you have a Packard bell system, it is very likely the windows disk your friend gives you will not install, due to packard bell restrictions put in place.
Your best bet would be to try and get hold of some recovery/rescue discs.I reached that conclusion thanks to microsoft help who are just as baffled as I am about why I’m having these problems. I’ll have another hunt around the Packard Bell website, see what I can find.
