Far be it from me to halt the noble aspirations of humanity when it comes to humour  , but I do believe it disingenuous to say it’s erm.. disingenuous.. to link certain strands of humour as yours truly did in a previous post  .
The link is significant in that it illustrates the potency of humour in the most seemingly inappropriate of settings. Granted, an ability to see and seek humour during a personal loss does not give one carte blanche to traipse insensitivity over each and every tragic situation in life. I’m certainly not advocating a (metaphorical or otherwise) dancing on graves.
But, I feel (and of course what’s Pepper’s Paté may be another’s dogfood) that the release mechanism in the personal context may indeed be linked to some manner of Jungian super-consciousness when it comes to more widepread, universal jokemaking  .. hmm, maybe my dismissal of the nobility gig was a tad premature :-k
Or maybe it isn’t? Maybe “cheap” shots prevail for the sake of it and nowt else? 8-[
Personally, I like to see the good in people.
I’m certainly not going to condemn the humour applied to this thread. In the face of such unimaginable horror – humanity’s ability to dream up, deflect and infuse must surely come to the fore.
