For what its worth, I wholeheartedly disagree.

This country has the highest level of divorce in Euorpe and the 4th highest rate in the world….we also have

The highest number of single parent families in Europe
The highest number of people living on their own in Europe
The highest rate of teenage pregnancies in Europe
The highest number of abortions on Europe.

Wonder why we have some many anti social issues? Not really…

We live in a society where, for many, commitment lasts just about as long as its takes to watch an episode of Eastenders.

Children brought in up in a stable relationship, that is almost invariably underpinnned by marriage as a symbol of genuine commitment to each other, where the needs of the children are always paramount and in an environment in which they learn values, respect, integrity, morals and humility will benefit them and society as a whole.

Unfortunately we don’t live in that environment and so this country, in many places, is fecked well and truly.

    My view :?

What it tells me is that people are becoming aware of just who and what is holding onto the chains around their necks. Admittedly, there are reports that these groups are infiltrated with those who seek to divert the agenda. I don’t consider it a movement to establish equality as much as it is a movement to stamp out blatant greed and anger by those who contribute to what amounts to a ‘crusade’ being fought in foreign lands.

We could also of course, personally define ‘freedom’. My freedom may not equate to your freedom for example, but together we might hold to the same agenda. :?

But wouldn’t “blatant greed” be subjective? If (for example) Carlos Tevez earns a reported £200,00 per week- is this greed or a reflection of how society values the latter day saints such as footballers? Perhaps Tevez agent held out for 200k (perhaps City were only going to offer 150k!).

In my job, I am paid a wage by my employer (as bankers, hedge fund managers, gilt traders etc are also)- it is the “going rate” for my job- however, if others view my wage as a “good whack” for what I do, am I greedy also or just lucky to be in the position I am?

I actually agree with a movement which seeks to raise awareness on examples of greed which do not contribute to society but even that becomes subjective- the term “greedy bankers” implies they take more than they should- but if the market sets the reward for what they do, and they are good at it, they take what they are entitled to? It doesn’t make it morally right maybe but I think greed is the wrong word.

I also think any group which sets out to demonstrate in any way positively will invariably experience some form of external hijacking by “career” protesters which can be a real shame as the true message doesn’t always come through.

A Modest Call to Action on this September 17th

This statement is ours, and for anyone who will get behind it. Representing ourselves, we bring this call for revolution.

We want freedom for all, without regards for identity, because we are all people, and because no other reason should be needed. However, this freedom has been largely taken from the people, and slowly made to trickle down, whenever we get angry.

Money, it has been said, has taken over politics. In truth, we say, money has always been part of the capitalist political system. A system based on the existence of have and have nots, where inequality is inherent to the system, will inevitably lead to a situation where the haves find a way to rule, whether by the sword or by the dollar.

We agree that we need to see election reform. However, the election reform proposed ignores the causes which allowed such a system to happen. Some will readily blame the federal reserve, but the political system has been beholden to political machinations of the wealthy well before its founding.

We need to address the core facts: these corporations, even if they were unable to compete in the electoral arena, would still remain control of society. They would retain economic control, which would allow them to retain political control. Term limits would, again, not solve this, as many in the political class already leave politics to find themselves as part of the corporate elites.

We need to retake the freedom that has been stolen from the people, altogether.

Yaaaayyy . . . The Giant Sleeps No More!

    And So

Interesting- the anti globalisation movement which condemns the world wide market place as the root of evil has gone “global”- so not all things global are bad, just the one’s we are told by whichever group at the time is making a noise.

WE need to retake the freedom that has been stolen…yadda yadda yadda” History is steeped in movements claiming to be “for the people” who, when placed in a position of making change, become no different to those they seek to rally against.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Camping outside a church to prove…what exactly?

“Equality” has never ever ever existed in our human history- no-one is equal- neither sex, race, creed or religion so this utopian ideal of winning something “back” which we have never had is a perverse distortion of reality. Inequality is inherent is the human species- get used to it- its always been there and always will be.

You mean the same pope, as head of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith (the Inquistion to you and I), who knew about the child sex abuses in the German Catholic church and did nothing to act (indeed aguably condoning the abuse by his inaction).

The same pope who criticised those who continue to raise the child sex abuse issue because the catholic church refuses to fundamentally acknowledge its explicit involvement in this scandal.

The same pope who does not believe in abortion, birth control and homosexuality and refuses to liberalise a dogmatised catholic church. He describes homosexuality as “intrinsic moral evil”.

The same pope who refuses to accept divorce and remarriage.

Clearly he knows it all and doesnt need any help from me for spiritual guidance!

    19) Britain is owned by the Vatican.
    (Treaty of 1213)

    Err, no!

The English Reformation, the creation of the church of England with a monarch as its supreme head (recognised by all clergy) and the surrender of the CoE of ALL its legislative powers and independence to the monarch actually happened!

The 1534 Act of Clergy Submission removed ALL rights of appeal to the church in Rome and ended all papal influence in England.

Proposing urban myths is fairly fruitless really.

Oh..and one more thing- the term “Britain” refers to England, Scotland and Wales as a whole- in 1213 “Britain” didnt exist- in fact not until the act of Union in 1707 did England, Wales and Scotland finally join together so the Pope was not in any position to claim ownership of “Britain” and does not have any ownership rights to this country.

So in the few short weeks that the two toff-boys have been in charge of the country they have or plan to:

    scrapped new school builds

scrapped the building of a hospital and begun to ‘overhaul’ the nhs to cut costs

vowed to make schools into academies… aka privatise them meaning that OFSTED standards will no longer apply

Stopped funding for the rights project which helps ppl appeal against wromg benefits decisions

    raised VAT

    scrapped several benefits

    frozen child benefits……

    need I go on???

Oh and let us not forget the millions in foreign aid pledged to help other countries which would basically wipe out our own domestic debts…

    SOOOOO still glad you voted?

So how would you fix the £4 trillion debt and spending 30% more than you get via taxation?
It’s always the same after a Labour government, higher unemployment and a wrecked economy, you’d think people would have sussed this by now.

Ermmm i would start by hitting the rich harder and leaving the those already on the poverty line alone….
perhaps the overseas aid might wipe out a bit of it… charity starts at home…
I was a child of the 80s, I grew up with Maggie at the helm, I remember my Dad fighting for his rights on a picket line and Maggie cancelling my milk at school … I have seen mass industry in the north east closed… then labour came along, the NHS went from strength to strength, waiting times slashed, education for all, women back into work through child care subsidies,- women in work… vital for the economy of a country like ours with an aged and dependant population greater than the working ages… then Clegg and his other eton pal come along and pull the plug, which will leave many woman with no option but to stay at home to raise their kids because tax credits are going to be abolished, the very money that allows working women to get help with childcare costs…

Perhaps clegg and doofus might start by cutting their own salaries to that of someone with an equally important role in society say perhaps a paramedic? That would save a few grand!

I want my children to be educated to a standard with a national curriculum and where English is the primary language…. academies are just an excuse for the local enterprises to come in and set their own curriculum if they are forking out for it… does that mean in highly ethnic areas the children will be taught under Islamic laws for example? Another step to stamping out the English culture…. don’t get me started….

I apologise for any typing errors… the screen is jumping and I cannot see what I have typed without scrolling back

I wasnt going to split hairs but feck it

Maggie Thatcher ended free school milk in 1971- how, as a child of the 80’s, can yu remember this?

I simply lose the will to live- a teenager rapes a 7 year old boy, is given a COMMUNITY ORDER, and then goes and abducts and assaults a 5 year old.

If our judicial system only views child rape as a minor misdemeanour, then it as much our justice system at fault as the lawmakers themselves.

Incomptent, out of touch, divorced from reality judges whose idea of “understanding” how us commoners live is to watch Eastenders.

FFS- what do we do- how do we stop this- I cannot, cannot believe I live in such a messed up country sometimes
