It’s over 3 years since I have posted on here. I popped by to try and get into the quiz room but I can’t haha. Oh well it must be fate telling me not to delve back into the world of internet chat rooms and all of the catfish lurking within!

As for Millwall, the fact that sometimes we leave the room at the same time is not credibilty for us being the same person. I think you will find that when that happens, we usually have finished talking in pm and are leaving chat for sleep.

Admittedly, I do clown about sometimes. I find chat an escape from some of my issues I deal with on a daily basis at home. It’s my time.
Life is not always about being serious. I was the class clown at school, I am known for being the one to fill a silence at family events, but that doesn’t stop me equally having a more mature side when required.

I have yet again emailed and asked for this thread to be removed. It continues to give the trolls delight in the forums and I think it is time it all stopped.

When I started this thread it was a hypothetical question, it very soon turned into something else with more and more added into the mix. What a rollercoaster.

I think enough has been said now.

I have spoken to one of the parties involved in this and would be happy to speak to the other. To the trolls and gossips , who continue to speculate and abuse both myself and those implicated, STOP. You are all utterly pathetic.

Ok I have given this much thought and I would like to add the following:

Firstly I stand by my actions of telling people that this person’s photograph was found on other websites – MULTIPLE websites in fact.

I have since been offered 2 excuses for this person’s image having been on these sites. The first being that the sold their image to these sites and the second being that their image has been plagiarised, in which case they should be seeking legal action against about 6 websites.

At this point I would also like to agree that the internet if full of liars and vile cheats.
Perhaps this person is genuine. It is not for me to say. All I know is their photograph was a professional image.

So let us now look at this from another angle.

I have been vilified for telling people that this image was not all it seemed. I have been abused in open chat, called ‘vile’, a ‘bit ch’, ‘ugly’ and have been told my email address will be circulated over the internet. These are from people associated with this couple. Is that not internet bullying?

So continuing my point, whether this person turns out to be genuine or not, do we all sit back and ignore these people who post fake images of themselves?
I have an 11 year old daughter who is very internet savvy, other than my strict parenting of her internet use, there is nothing to stop her from using a fake image and coming into a chat room and striking up a relationship with a 40 year old man. I would hope that if someone saw a suspicious image they would speak up about it and prevent such things. Similarly, we all hear about internet grooming and the like and although this could all turn out to be completely innocent and possibly a mistake on my part – if proven otherwise – should we not all play a part on policing the internet?

If this is all a complete misunderstanding then I am truly sorry. I had much respect for both of these individuals up until discovering the image.

I did not search this persons IP, which allegedly states they are in the UK with a British ISP someone else did
I did not start the fake relationship rumour others did
I did not take screenshots of the female of the partnership bad mouthing the other partner in chat someone else did.
I did not continue this debate in the chat rooms – the trolls are doing that.
I have not named these people at all in here.
I would also like to add that I actually defended this couple when their relationship was being discussed and dismissed by certain ‘friends’ of them in F2, the same friend who now chooses to abuse me in the rooms.

I would also like to add that I did try to private message the male of the partnership last night in chat to offer an explanation for my actions. He told me he was too angry to talk to me at the moment.

I have certainly discovered who are the ‘real’ adults on this site in the past 24 hours and who are sensationalists, trolls, and bullies. God bless you all. :wink:

I now request that this thread be closed and if seen fit deleted, as it is continuing to cause hurt to many people.
