A Modest Call to Action on this September 17th

This statement is ours, and for anyone who will get behind it. Representing ourselves, we bring this call for revolution.

We want freedom for all, without regards for identity, because we are all people, and because no other reason should be needed. However, this freedom has been largely taken from the people, and slowly made to trickle down, whenever we get angry.

Money, it has been said, has taken over politics. In truth, we say, money has always been part of the capitalist political system. A system based on the existence of have and have nots, where inequality is inherent to the system, will inevitably lead to a situation where the haves find a way to rule, whether by the sword or by the dollar.

We agree that we need to see election reform. However, the election reform proposed ignores the causes which allowed such a system to happen. Some will readily blame the federal reserve, but the political system has been beholden to political machinations of the wealthy well before its founding.

We need to address the core facts: these corporations, even if they were unable to compete in the electoral arena, would still remain control of society. They would retain economic control, which would allow them to retain political control. Term limits would, again, not solve this, as many in the political class already leave politics to find themselves as part of the corporate elites.

We need to retake the freedom that has been stolen from the people, altogether.

Yaaaayyy . . . The Giant Sleeps No More!

    And So

Interesting- the anti globalisation movement which condemns the world wide market place as the root of evil has gone “global”- so not all things global are bad, just the one’s we are told by whichever group at the time is making a noise.

WE need to retake the freedom that has been stolen…yadda yadda yadda” History is steeped in movements claiming to be “for the people” who, when placed in a position of making change, become no different to those they seek to rally against.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Camping outside a church to prove…what exactly?

“Equality” has never ever ever existed in our human history- no-one is equal- neither sex, race, creed or religion so this utopian ideal of winning something “back” which we have never had is a perverse distortion of reality. Inequality is inherent is the human species- get used to it- its always been there and always will be.

What it tells me is that people are becoming aware of just who and what is holding onto the chains around their necks. Admittedly, there are reports that these groups are infiltrated with those who seek to divert the agenda. I don’t consider it a movement to establish equality as much as it is a movement to stamp out blatant greed and anger by those who contribute to what amounts to a ‘crusade’ being fought in foreign lands.

We could also of course, personally define ‘freedom’. My freedom may not equate to your freedom for example, but together we might hold to the same agenda. :?

But wouldn’t “blatant greed” be subjective? If (for example) Carlos Tevez earns a reported £200,00 per week- is this greed or a reflection of how society values the latter day saints such as footballers? Perhaps Tevez agent held out for 200k (perhaps City were only going to offer 150k!).

In my job, I am paid a wage by my employer (as bankers, hedge fund managers, gilt traders etc are also)- it is the “going rate” for my job- however, if others view my wage as a “good whack” for what I do, am I greedy also or just lucky to be in the position I am?

I actually agree with a movement which seeks to raise awareness on examples of greed which do not contribute to society but even that becomes subjective- the term “greedy bankers” implies they take more than they should- but if the market sets the reward for what they do, and they are good at it, they take what they are entitled to? It doesn’t make it morally right maybe but I think greed is the wrong word.

I also think any group which sets out to demonstrate in any way positively will invariably experience some form of external hijacking by “career” protesters which can be a real shame as the true message doesn’t always come through.

All of what you say of course revolves around value. If you believe a certain position will value you more in terms of career, you might aim to achieve what is needed to attain that position and be rewarded at that value. In the greater scheme, I believe it is this evaluation that is one of the main sources of the recent disturbances. Without trawling through article upon article, to give a brief example of my contention I will mention the current wars this country is now involved with, many of the grievances held by these ‘protesters’ include their adversity to their hard earned wages being taxed to fund such aggression. I don’t think these occupy protests can be summed up quite so easily, people will of course have their own agenda brought into play by their own consciousness.
History has shown how propaganda and mis-information have played a part in many of the acts of aggression in the world. My own spin on these campaigns is that the people for the most part feel de-valued while they see a very few in the world gain wealth in extraordinary amounts. In the eighties we saw the live aid and band aid concerts to raise awareness of the starving Africans . . . Thirty years or more later, we still see this anomaly in the world, some with no food, others with too much food they suffer with their health as a result of their gluttonous ways.
These campaigns I believe are about many anomalies not least with the fiscal impropriety we see all to often. What you may consider valuable may not be to me.

The video below may show an example of what some of the campaigns revolve around.
