Why not hire a narrow boat on Manchester-Leeds canal? You can always take the party, should anyone turn up, to Manchester if the venue in Leeds is too posh for the roomies.
Also, it’s much cosier on a narrow boat than on a cruise ship and people shouldn’t get lost.
In addition to that, I won’t get sea sick on a canal boat and it will be easier for me to lurk and take pictures.
