Very true chess, and the spaces are there because everyone understands how difficult it is to manage with wheelchairs, or for people who cannot walk far.
But there are people who abuse the system, just like any system. People who drive disabled people’s cars, with the stickers in the windscreen, and park in disabled spaces even though they themselves are not disabled. People who were disabled, got a sticker, but are now recovered and don’t hand back the sticker and I am sure you can all think of other examples.
The system is not perfect.
