I vote for both A & B
I would go with either, A or B. I’m more about chemistry and personality. If either had a tendency to drink too much then I’d choose the other.
I have this unfortunate association with alcohol and violence, and in particular drunken men and violence against women. Sorry, but I find excessive alcohol use repulsive.
Maybe you can take further inspiration from the “other thread” and do an incoherent abusive (probably violent if provoked) drunken bloke v sober sophisticated challenge :)

I’m not an animal lover either
going to bed. I would poke the toe board on my bed to let her hear the creaks, Molly would drag herself up my steep 13 steps (terraced house) and come round to the side of the bed I had put a small footstall to help her and climb into bed. She would demand I petted her before she would go to sleep and I grumpily would no matter what. In the morning without fail I would be on the very edge of the bed with an aching back. Molly would refuse to get out from under the quilt until she heard me putting food in her bowl
What if you got lucky and pulled a bit of crumpet for the night?
