Nobody appreciated my witty Xavi correlation.

    I’m upset :(

    Isn’t he a Spanish footballer?

The word “chav” does not refer to a race. It refers to a section of society that have behavioural abnormalities.

You mean like Man Utd fans? :P

So do I take it you don’t work in a mortuary?

I have done, a long time ago, but not anymore, and not in this country.

There was a thread on here where I posted I needed the patience of a Saint in my job (which I do now) so Teapot asked what I did. I’m not going to divulge what I do for a living on here, so I thought of a previous role and mischieviously said mortuary technican.

I thought Teapot would pick up on the irony but didn’t. Instead I think she said words to the effect that it suited me, more I suspect as an insult, to what she feels is my “cold” personality (rather than alluring to the compassion, repect and empathy required, particulary when dealing with family members of the deceased,) so I thought I’d carry on the pretence.

So there you have it. No doubt Teapot will want to shoot me but she’ll have to join the back of the queue. :D

Ah I see…you mean you lied.

    Yep!

    Pants on fire!!!

Actually, he was rather small and very aggressive.
A kinda cross between Yorkshire Terrier and Velociraptor.

I seem to recall the name was in dual homage to the snooker great and the posh bloke from Magnum PI.

My fave was Butch though. He was one of those curious dogs of nondescript breed with loads of character.
    Loved him.
I feel kinda sad now :(

    Sorry, I’m a cat person :)

We had some dogs growing up too though.
There was a Flash, another Flash, a Butch and a Higgins.

    Too many cats to mention.
My mother still has five or six.

Facebook is the spawn of evil and I refuse to have it despite being begged endlessly by friends. Mostly for the reasons Jen highlighted, it has its uses but I much prefer picking up the phone and calling a friend or meeting them. It suits some people, just not me I’m afraid.

Yeah, I agree with you. Think I might set up fundamental orifice Book.

    I sent a 40th birthday card to a friend, I gave a lovely present but apparently I’m not a very good friend…why? Because I didn’t say happy birthday via facebook… :?

Hmm.. Yep.. An unfortunate sign of the times by all accounts Jen and a perfect subject for a thread!
    Thanks!
Or thanks to your friend lol!
