I’m thinking of booking one as a surprise for my sisters next birthday (i will be booking 2 tickets so that i can go with her :P ) Has anyone here ever been on one? what are your experiences??
I haven’t been on one but my mate has, in Egypt. She said they had a wonderful time. I think it is best to look around, Champers and strawberrys would make it a all round good experience 8)
Be prepared for a “very” long wait. The amount of people who book these things far outweighs the amount of suitable flying days.
had one come down in our field once, they came back next day with a bottle of wine apparently its what they do, so buy a spare bottle just in case

Might be an idea to find out from someone if she has any “phobias” or fears- if anyone EVER bought me a ride in a hot air balloon, I’d kneecap them- you’d never get me in one but not many people I know are aware that being 10,000 feet up in an open whicker basket is not my idea of a good time
its ok shes fine with heights, we did a sky dive a few years ago :wink: :P
Sent my dad up in one for his 60th as a surprise :lol: . He thought he was going for something to eat in a ‘posh’ hotel (that he wasn’t vedry happy about!). Then we led him round the back of the posh hotel to a big field with the hot air balloon in, his face was a picture! Anyway, I was on standby in case he bottled it but nope, he went up in it. Said it great, bit scary as you’re coming into land![/img]

If you’d kept your gob shut they’d have let you through the terminal like the rest of the passengers on that flight.
went on a hot air balloon in florida was brilliant, wudnt do one here lol no the weather
I remember being a kid and being really excited about seeing a hot air balloon in flight, dont seem to see as many now though.
Sounds like a great idea, weather permitting of course!
