I clicked on this out of interest. I used to have nitemares (and still do and will probably tonight now!) about nuclear war when I was a kid, but I have a morbid fascination with watching and finding out about the explosions at every opportunity.
I hope we never see the likes of it in our lifetime. If they were that powerful in the 50’s what are they like now?
Scary stuff.
Must say I do like the music though.
Thats me barbecued then. The only consolation is it would be quick.
My nightmares always consist of me surviving, that looks a highly unlikely scenario in this day and age.

Atom bombs scare me shitless as well. I hope to god none of the information needed to build them gets into the hands of wrong-doing.

Watched it in Scotland Rubes, was only about 8 or 9 I think. Was that the one based in Sheffield? I dont think it has ever been shown again since. I remember the young girl having a period and not knowing what it was, it was really horrific and probably a lot to do with the horrid dreams!

Watched it in Scotland Rubes, was only about 8 or 9 I think. Was that the one based in Sheffield? I dont think it has ever been shown again since. I remember the young girl having a period and not knowing what it was, it was really horrific and probably a lot to do with the horrid dreams!

A pretty scary Q.E.D special on nuclear conflict screened around that period also scared the bejaysus outta me :roll:
It was a pretty oppressive time :?
Oh and like you, nuclear explosions do freak me.. and I still have the odd nightmare!
