https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/47_Ronin_(2013_film) Said i’d watch this film a while ago and half way through it. Great film…more visually impressive to me than plot but worth watching. Always amazes me some of these film budgets..I mean this film made 151 million dollars at the box office but failed to recoup its 225 million dollar budget!

Agree the plot basically first 10 minutes or so of film could figure out. Dragged out some. The entertainment of some good. What did like it was a true story of the Ronin 47 existed and what they did in which honor was what stood for as true samurai. Read up on them after the movie…. Liked also Tom Cruise in The Last Samuri. Cried in both these movies at end. Guess I can be emotional even when not a true romance story. Hee….Spartacus original with Kirk Douglas did me really in too….

Yes..Spartacus was an awesome film and he was forced to fight to the death at the end and he was crucified. Don’t make Blockbusters like that any more. Coined the classic phrase as well…’I am Spartacus’ lol

The film with Tom Cruise where he is a German Officer and plans to assassinate Hitler is a good one. Apparently, there were at least 15 assassination attempts made on Hitler by members of his own force.

Another classic film from the sixties about the Cossacks is Taros Bulba starring Tony Curtis and Yul Brynner. Epic story and sad ending.
