This number sequence was in costa coffee today and if u win u get a free drink ..anyone have a clue what the missing number is ? I’ve looked at it for ages and cant work it out which is unusual, as I am normally competent at these basic logic questions
1, 2 , 6, 11, ?, 86, 946
First guess would be 77
add a prime number then times it
Needless to say, the only person likely to be able to answer is possibly drac so for once surprise me and lets have a display of intelligence on this site instead of random crap about the cat sitting on the mat in the poetry club or feeling guilty about not doing your dads garden living at home mid 30s. 86 multiplied by 11 is clearly 946 yet the 11 is 2 places to the left instead of just the 1.

What prime number are you adding ?
1 +1 =2 2 x 3=6 6+5=11 11 x 7 =77 77 +9 =86 86 x 11 = 946

It is a succession of adding then multiplying prime numbers
next you would add 13…then you would times that number by 15

It was the continual alteration in multiplying and adding which I couldn’t get. You have gone someway to restoring my faith in human nature Mister Q
