First of all……if you don’t want to know any thing about what does or might happen…ignore this post…..

I’m still reeling from when Circe got her vengeance on the woman who killed her daughter….that scene in the dungeon will haunt me for ever….Seems all a bit rushed to me in seven episodes but it’s down to money i expect. Big twists : how did the ice warrior king work out how to pull the dragon out the lake and give it cold breath? Just by touching it? where did all them minions get the slaves from and the chains? And here’s another question….if they weren’t concerned about finishing the series so early………and it was a bit convenient that the ice dragon wrecked the wall so the ice army could walk through. Seems like the company is wrapping up this epic and leaving too many questions…..

No surprise that Little finger got his pay back….perhaps i should have listened more intently when he was in Circe’s court………

To be honest…….got very bored with the John Snow falls in love with Dragon Queen and enters her bedroom ……Interesting to see how series 8 develops……

One thing many people may have missed is the prophecy that Circe will be killed by her own son………seeing as she has no sons and is pregnant then well….

I personally hate the way that The Ice King plays the guy out of The Lord of the rings and uses the arrow to shoot the Dragon down…………pleassssss…this was never Lord of the Rings…..As iv’e said many times……game of thrones finished with episode 4…..

Will Gandolf turn up to save the day? i wouldn’t be surprised…but i’ll probably buy it on DVD any way to find out.

Only question remains…..does series 8 go out with a bang or a fizzle? Only Guy Fawkes can answer that…

Game of thrones has been terrible since season 3.

    in what way?

    in what way?

Because the character motivations make no sense, the character’s personalities randomly change between seasons, and characters teleport across a continent.

They should never have moved away from the books, the script writers don’t understand the story, and are nowhere near as skilled as George Martin.

(Not that George Martin is even that good of a writer)

The lord of the rings films similarly mess up the story by completely removing the ending.

In the books, Frodo and Sam return to The Shire after destroying the ring. Only to find that Saruman has invaded and turned it into an industrial wasteland, where the hobbits are enslaved to work the machinery. They then have to try and stop Saruman and start rebuilding The Shire.

This is an analogy to British soldiers returning from WW2 to find that their home cities had been flattened by German bombing, and that their familes were working in industrial zones to manifacture munitions and equipment for the war effort.

The films completely ignore this message about the consequences that war has for civilians, and the question if industrialisation is a good thing. Instead the hobbits return home and live happily ever after.

We can debate on series 3 or series 4 drac every thing you’ve said is quite true…….i’ve said before….1-4 was amazing…5-6 didn’t go any where and 7 has moments…..8 will probably have to be massive to go out in style and justify every thing before . Books to screen rarely satisfy though in my opinion.

No idea about GoT, but I have read Lord of the Rings, twice, once as a child and once as an adult.

Don’t the films tend to “sex up” the books ? Which inevitably means editing?

Well to be honest drac…every writer of any book gets their ideas from some where. Bit like  Animal Farm
