In boxing terms it’s a bag that takes the force of the individual punching it although there all pretty light in my opinion….
Any way….in a more symbolic sense…..i mention my self as a punch bag….
The reason for this is simple…..while a person or persons is busy punching me (which i can take) i distract them from punching some one else who their real target is…..
It’s called deflection……
redirecting the attack and disarming it….
