I had my first tattoo (bit of a late mid life crises) about 4 weeks ago now. I absolutely love it, its not very big, just inside my left wrist, a dainty flower thingy which i designed myself :D (would post a piccy if I had a bludy clue how to ). I am now debating very seriously much to the dismay of Mr Kent who cant stand tattoos, to get my next one. I was thinking somthing on my foot just above the toes, again somthing girly (like me  ).
I have heard getting tattoos is addictive, but don’t think I would go for more than 2 unless I want to see the inside of a divorce court  (seconds thoughts!).
Any thoughts on my dilemma pls ?

I’ve been thinking of at least one more..

On my arm, i have a Devil, fading a bit, so I may have that covered over, but the one i want done most is the one on my other arm.. Have my kids names, but they’re two different styles of writing, a symbol, and a name that I just don’t want there anymore.. (Has no reason to be there).. Now I’m considering having the names, and symbol cleared/covered and my kids names tattooed across my back, just below the shoulder.. I know which style I want too..

The tattooist told me to find a Black Design big enough to have tattooed over the Existing Ones.. Suppose it’s cheaper than having them removed!! I want something a bit manly lol.

I think the size of the names I’d want is about.. TWICE THE SIZE OF THIS.. And of course I’ll send you a piccy.. Sorry about the naked ones, they were supposed to have been sent to Gardeners Weekly..

No – Actually – That size would be fine..

Ok well if you read my sig at the bottom and you know my dad died in feb so I had this tattoo done to remind me of my dad… its on the top of my foot just behind the knuckle of my little toe its actually only about an inch square…

The bit of loose black is not there now at the end of the back of the tat, it was taken soon after being done when loose skin and colours were still moving with the cream

They are addictive though, and since my gran died I have been thinking of getting another and I have decided on a lotus flower which symbolises lifes struggle as the flower grows through the murky depths of the pond to flower in alls its beauty later on, and a dragonfly which again similar to the butterfly signifies transformation…

I drew this rough sketch to show the tattooist the sort of thing I want, but am still deciding on colours. I am not sure about girlie pinks. I like flame orange and blues maybe

So Mr Kent doesn’t like tattoos…but he hasn’t left you because you got one has he? So is he really going to leave you if you get a second one, if it’s equally small and tasteful? Now if you were thinking of turning into the tattooed lady, that would be a different matter!

But they can be addictive…I got my first one 8 years ago, was only going to have one, then 8 months later got a second one and that was going to be it. Then I had a client the other day wearing a camisole top and when she turned over she had a beautiful finely detailed tattoo between her shoulder blades, I don’t think I’ve seen such a well-defined tattoo. Turns out there’s a new tattoist in town and next thing I know I’ve got his card and I’m starting to think about another tattoo….

Think it’s best to design your own at times, as it means a lot more, no-one else will have it, only something similar..

I love the names of my kids on my arm, means so much to me, but as long as their names are on me at least somewhere, then i don’t mind this existing one being covered.. And even though I want their names on my back, i’m not sure, i want them to be somewhere visible.. I’m proud of them, and want to show that!! If that makes sense.
I could design my own, it’s a bit cheaper too, because you’re just paying for the ink basically when you have it done.. Just been trying to find some designs..
