Youtube is great for finding recordings of classics and songs you had never thought recorded by particular people.
This on – The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face – is an easy one to bring the tears.
But it really is amazingly sung here – very moving, with a moving vid.

I don’t usually like songs which are very masculine, but Johnny Cash has changed its timing, given it his own (great) dignity, and the music builds.

maybe you could explain to me why Johnny Reb is so popular in Britian…I often see Confederate flags in odd places in this country…
