Just read the intro to a story in this week’s Closer that really shocked and saddened me: :(

When paramedics found 20st Lorraine Robins, 39, she hadn’t moved from her sofa for four months. Her flesh had rotted and stuck to the cushions.

Tragically, her family claim they were too embarrassed to call a doctor.

While Lorraine didn’t move – even to go to the toilet – her mother Mary, 76, and brother Stuart, 46, did their utmost to ignore the maggots that swarmed her body. Unbelievably, they ate their meals and watched tv sitting on either side of Lorraine. Finally, the stench became so bad, Stuart retreated with his plate to an upstairs bedroom.

Stricken Lorraine developed such severe bedsores and wounds that her body welded to the sofa cushions.

Eventually she fell unconscious. When paramedics arrived, maggots were crawling out from holes in her skin.

She died in hospital four hours later from a heart attack brought on by her condition.

    OMG! This is so sad.

Tragically, her family claim they were too embarrassed to call a doctor. QUOTE.

How is this so, how could you ever be too embarrassed and see a human being suffer like this, especially one you love? It beggers belief, but i think they should be done for manslaughter, or at the very least neglect. It is obvious to me the victim was unable to get help for herself and was relying on help from those around her.

Things like this get me so angry, this was an unnecessary death of a young woman.

Surely the 39 year old lard-arse could have picked up a phone to get help herself.

It doesn’t say what she ate whilst she rotted and got ‘welded’ onto her chair.

Can you imagine the scene in their home as her family assisted her to tuck into the day’s ration of 250 McDonalds & Chips?

Maybe her arms were so fat she couldn’t get the grease burger into herself.

Would they have had to brush the maggots away from her face so she could cram another cream cake into her piggly little mouth?
