we went away for the day… and there was this wee old fashion sweetie shop… and OMG they sold things like Sweet Peanuts, Kola Kubes, Bon Bon’s… all the yummi’s,,,, so we got a few of the sweets spent effin £10 lol and ya know what…. what a disapointment… they didnae taste like i remember…. has that happened to anyone…???
i mean i used to love sweet peanuts.. but these where rank as… even the kids didnae like them lol

yum flyin saucers……….. ooooo and wot bout jubblys.anyone remember them?? oh an one of the treats were those liquorice sort of aniseed sort of woody things….lol….hope someone knows wot i mean lol…

tommy im not sayin to can’t get them all…. but they certainly don’t taste like i remember… i mind the scottish highland toffee bars… fae a 1/2p and the 5p bars the ones covered in chocolate… it aint like they used to be… there soft n chewy now… yrs yrs ago… ya break ur teeth tryin to bite into them lol mind many a loose tooth… if ya wanted it to come oot quicker by a few bars lol
What about those violet ones…never see em as much as i used to…sherbert dips with the black lace which stuck yer teef together. If you were lucky you could make a cap for your toof n scare yer parents!!

Can still get most of the sweets mentioned, even though some don’t taste quite the same.
Flying saucers are in plentiful supply – I know because I buy them for my Dad – he loves them :lol: As are cola bottles – I used to love the fizzy ones.There are online shops that sell old-fashioned sweets. :D
