Trinidad & Tobago marked us man to man, and they defended better than the Italians. A outstanding performance from T&T.
England did everything right apart from get the good connection to put the ball in the net.Were you watching a different game from me? :roll:
for me we did’nt keep the ball well enough again, we are trying too hard for the killer ball, but when lennon and rooney came on, it lifted the team, we started to pass the ball about abit with confidence to enable us to open them up, T & T found it hard to pick up lampard
I think things are going to get better, we now have the confidence, i thought Owen might have got a couple tonight, not sure about his press conference afterwards, he was sort of blaming the team for his lack of finishing, thats frustration i guess
I say against sweden play wallcott from the start.. bring owen on with 30 mins to go when the game has opened up, fresh, he will be able to run into the space and get some confidence in his game

Listen they’ve got a population of 1 million. In reality they shouldent even have been on the same pitch as England.
If England had trouble breaking them down, what happens when they come against a team like Italy?Trinidad & Tobago played superb football. They marked us well, they defended better than Italy, they nearly scored.
We were the better side throughout, and we well deserved the win.

If you hadnt been the better side throughout it would have a gigantic surprise considering the resourses of the 2 sides, and the teams their players play for.
