Joey Barton for England !!!! Is he ever going to oust Lamaprd, Gerrard or Hargreaves? He just created uneeded tension and is a disruptive influence.
scholes is better then all 4, lampard and gerrard don’t play well together, so maybe worth giving barton a go with gerrard .. its only a friendly though, it means nothing and what ever happens, it will be the same england line up for the next proper match
The ginger one should never have retired at such a young age from international footy.
well Barton got on, but none of the England team really impressed with such a poor display, was generally apalled by the seeming lack of committment. Richards did well when he came on and Foster did ok in goal . Overall they system was wrong with one up, Crouch can’t do that job well enough at international level.

I think Barton deserves a chance on his form this season and last to a certain extent, the obvious problem being his temperament. Id be suprised if he learns to control it overnight, the Mendes incident the other day being a prime example of that- could we trust him to keep his cool in an important match? Probably not.
I dont think he is as good as Lampard, Stevie, or Hargreaves no, but maybe he might fit into the team better than Lampard or Gerrard. I dont think you can play both of them, and maybe Barton is the answer (although god knows what the question is:D, who is the most likely to end up in jail in the next 6 months lol)
