There has been much said about “Champix” in the press, its costing the NHS a lot of money and you need to order at your local pharmacy.
It’s not easy to get hold of.
But is it worth the trouble? In my case no.
We all know there are always side effects with drugs.
Champix there are common things like dry mouth, sleepiness, tiredness dizziness’, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea feeling bloated, stomach discomfort indigestion flatulence.
Uncommon side effects
Chest infections discomfort or pain, inflammation of the sinuses
Fever, feeling cold, feeling weak or unwell viral infection, shortness of breath, coughs hoarseness throat pain and irritation, congested sinuses, runny nose, snoring
There are a lot more see Plizer web site for a full list.
I have been trying to stop smoking for the past year and my doctor put me on Champix 4 weeks ago.
And since then through I had flu, real bad flu.
I did stop the pills last week and the flu stopped too, took some Champix last nigh and the flu is back
It seems to me that the “Uncommon side effects” are affecting me and I will have to stop taking Champix.
After all I could work and still smoke, I can say the same about Champix.
