i have lived in my house about 2 years now, i had never had an electric bill until recently, powergen sent me a bill on an estimated reading of £640 pounds or so.
thinking this rather high as i work away from home mostly, i rang them to query the bill. i told the girl it was an estimate and she apologised and asked me to take the reading while on the phone, which i did.
after a short time she told me the bill should have been for £753.27 ffs… me and my big mouth!

How frightfully common. Couldn’t you just get the butler to keep his eye on the bills and the thermostat, like Evans does for me?
yes quite old chap, what on earth would the royals thing when they visited? (they have time to visit me now the TV series is over)
:D :D :D

Well he’s a definite article, if that’s what you mean. Couldn’t do without the chap. Might have to start typing for myself soon, though. He’s a whizz at dictation but he wants the night off to go and see his ‘Soho’ friends…
