Hello all, new forum goer here. Just wondering if anyone else’s job makes them angry to the point where they want to put their fist through something when they get home. I work with a bunch of backstabbing ignorant punks. I refinish floors. Everyday there is a lack of communication at my job which leads to projects not getting completed properly, loss of time, and a general all around crumby atmosphere. I know the simple solution to this is find another job, but I think that I will be stuck working at this floor company for some time to get me through college unfortunately. Does anyone know of any calming methods that actually are effective besides smoking and drinking massive amounts of caffeine?

27 January, 2006 at 9:19 am #185403I work for a huge very well known company, only part time i have kids etc and i wanted something workwise to do and i enjoy working just hate the job. The people i work with are so lovely all of them the bosses on the other hand are the problem! They put all the sh1t on us and i mean all of it even their duties and we cant go to head office because the main manager where i work is married to top dog!!!! I smile as if im not bothered they will never break me and that alone gives me satisfaction!
27 January, 2006 at 11:29 am #185404You think you have problems!!!
I work as a quality control inspector in a local brothel. All day long I have to ensure that the staff meet and exceed client’s expectations. Most of them don’t care about service standards, they just deliver the product in the shortest space of time. For them customer satisfaction comes second.
I try to ensure that customers come first!!!
Recently my boss called me in for a meeting and told me that if I couldn’t complete my assigned tasks during working hours then I would have to take work home with me and finish it off there.
My wife doesn’t like this idea and says if I bring work home then she will leave me. If I don’t bring it home then I get fired.
What should I do????

28 January, 2006 at 9:38 pm #185409My work has flexible hours, reasonable pay, I can work at home quite often, people are OK to work with, I can listen to the radio while I work, there’s not much pressure so I shouldn’t have anything moan about. But I do………..it’s very boring. Each day I go to work I know that nothing interesting is going to happen between the time I get there and the time I leave for home.
